Shogi piece necklaces! (PIC HEAVY)
flyingmintbunny questioned me about in a comment I made in her journal about the clay shogi pieces I mentioned I made. So, I figured here and now is as good a time/location as any to post pics of my creations!
This is the first one of these I made. This one reads "Knight". (Anyone want to guess as to why it reads knight? Hmmm? -fancy derp faise-)
I actually don't like it as the glaze is too dark; it should be more tan like the following pieces to reflect a more authentic looking creation. I also did not practice as much finesse as with the 3rd batch (aka the tan one down). I'll spare the details. Moving on~
This is the product of my third batch and, my, it turned out nicely. The kanji on the front reads "Lance". My brother requested I make him one that read Lance after he saw my Knight one and liked what he saw.

Comparison of my first batch piece, "Knight", and my 3rd batch piece, "Lance". Again, you can see the superiority of "Lance". (I intend on redoing my Knight piece so that it is more awesome.
