a break from fiction

Okay, so, quick background info: There was a film contest a week or so ago. I made a movie with some friends. That's not the important part. The important part (relating to this anecdote, anyway), is that there's a scene where you see a glass on a table, and some apple juice pours in. Then, Nate puts down the juice, and on screen you can tell it's Jugos Del Valle- then Nate crashes around the kitchen, but the shot stays the same. He comes back, takes a seat, and dunks a cookie.
Here's the thing: Robbie Albarran (whose Dad, we all know, is pretty high up there in the Jugos Del Valle company) was in a movie at the film festival. So were his parents. Today, Robbie comes up to me and says: "Dude, I gotta talk some buisness with you."
"Sure, man. What's up?"
"You remember the movie you made? The one about nothing?"
"Yeah, I vaguely recall making a movie."
"Well...my dad saw it. And you know that scene with the apple juice? Well, he loved it. He loved the idea. He wants to buy it from you. For advertising and whatnot."
"You're shitting me!"
"I'm not. He says you'll be credited, and you'll be paid. He just wants to use that scene."
"Shit, man. Tell him I'm interested."

Kosher Films now has corporate sponsorship. (well...maybe)

It's weird. For my vocational test, my top job option was "Advertising Executive". Self-fulfilling prophecy? Maybe.
