My thanks to all who sent, via LJ or email, their best wishes. Each and every one is appreciated immensely. :)
I went to see a new doctor today (fuddy duddy complete with bow tie - I adore him) and unfortunately he thinks that the problem is indeed my gall bladder. The jury is out as to whether it is an inflammation of the gall bladder itself, gall stones or a combination of the two. Diagnosis is expected to be confirmed tomorrow following an ultrasound and blood test. I'm still hoping for a non-surgical option, but the doctor wants me to get a surgical opinion anyway.
So I'll know more tomorrow.
Lily is keeping us awake at night which is driving me nuts. She's got her days and nights mixed up, so she sleeps (and nothing will wake her) during the day and she wakes up around midnight. Darn kid. We are booked in to see Child & Youth Services and may be referred to a sleep clinic to help.
