More about the weekend.

Thursday - the lovely Lordstorm arrived and although we expected that this would herald typical Melbourne weather, it did not. An entertaining evening ensued as we sat down to assasinate the plot/dialogue/pretty but unrealistic fight scenes featured in Troy.

Friday - Rey, Art, Ratboy and Cuton arrived and dinner at 82 followed. A great deal of fun was had by all, and we kept the entire restaurant amused with our antics and Lordstorm's outrageous impersonations.

All houseguests were quite amused by the safe working load sign I put up at home, too. >:)

Saturday - Morning - we did the usual tidying, preparation etc that goes with having a party. Following this I went for a lie down (darn my tiredness!). When I arose and went in to the lounge room, our beautiful, strange friends began showering me with Jelly Babies. They had arranged a baby shower for me, complete with horrifying decorations and an Anne Geddes calendar that would frighten anyone. My friends are bad. :)

Saturday - Evening - much carolling took place which was generally off key and occasionally off colour. The gremlins re-worded all the carols, so we winged it for most of the songs. The beautiful shadow_5tails and her friends totally humbled the rest of us with their beautiful voices.

Sunday - The Breakfast of Stars which featured blueberry muffins, bran muffins, pancakes, eggs, bacon, tomatos and mushrooms. Regrettably both Lordstorm and Dave had to leave early, so I couldn't feed either of them properly. Rey's need to feed the masses is catching.

Relaxing, moofie watching and general silliness continued until Rey et al had to depart later in the afternoon. Following their departure, some other people came to visit and show off their nice, shiny new recurve bows. The sound of bows twanging and the 'thok' sounds of arrows hitting the target are delightful.

Confession:
I wish I'd had a crystal ball, and known that Max would probably be ok. I'm sure I would have enjoyed myself more had I not been stressing. Unfortunately a combination of fatigue, excessive love for my cats and hormones ensured that I had a somewhat mediocre night Saturday and I do hope I didn't rain on anybun's parade. I'm just a sook.
