Less of the museums, more of the not-museums... I'll change the journal title later.

Well this year on LJ may be quite interesting - though hopefully less eventful than last. I'm still not 100% sure of what I want to use it for. It hasn't worked to put up stuff about my museum work, my mates on here are reading it, but nobody else is, and I think I've only ever had one other comment that was either anonymous or from a user who ( Read more... )

Oh and you and a few of my mates (including Annissa who just commented before) are wonderful when it comes to providing input, but maybe I should just be writing it to youse guys since you're the only ones reading it, you know, tailored to an audience. You've provided more input them almost anyone in this research (museums included), so don't diminish your contribution.

Ah, no the bookcase is not from Ikea... because it's so much wood and stuff, I decided I should make sure I get a renewable source product and Australian-made, so it cost a bit more, but it was worth it for making me feel better about it and doing my bit for the environment. It's an Aussie made one, and yes put together by me... but a bit more solid than the Ikea ones. I like it... and I love being organised like this! Its been a journey. I went through every cupboard I have and threw out so much stuff. In the end out of my trip to Ikea all I got was a salad spinner and two drinking glasses (I have a million things in my home, but can you believe I don't own a glass, except for my coffee glasses?) and some onions from the Ikea shop. I feel like i got something else, but I can't remember what it was. David got a million things.
