Hey, am I really at the halfway point in this story? How can that be?

“I stand no chance,” she continued, but she no longer looked at Jared, seemed to be talking to herself. “I could never be that needy.”
Annnnnnd so long, Sandy. I think you have a good point here and that regardless of what Jared is telling himself, Jensen's neediness was a huge draw for him. And I understand.

Misha took over. “What Jared’s trying to say is that we are very happy our little charge has found a happy home. All the best.”
I really like Misha as the no-nonsense adult in this story.

"Like a model", hee. Still, I can't help but wonder how people's reactions would have differed if Jensen's beauty was all internal, you know? I think that would make an interesting remix, if the J2 community does those.

Jensen had tested his sexual preference by looking at skin mags. Well, it was certainly one way to figure things out.
This made me giggle a whole lot. :)

Jared sprang into action and stood in front of Jensen protectively. He knelt down and held the ( ... )

I love your comments!

This is quite interesting. I just don't have it in me to write something with someone truly disfigured. And especially not an RPS with someone as gorgeous as Jensen. But ... you are right ... a true 'love the beast' story could be interesting. Did you ever see any of the Beauty and the Beast TV series? He really was a beast physically. I liked the show but secretly always wished for him to not look like that. Must be my weakness.

I’m not surprised that Sandy wanted Jared to come home, to come back to her. It’s hard to let go sometimes, but also, if you still love someone, it’s better to know that you tried your best to make it work. It was a very tender scene as the romance ended between Jared and Sandy. I’m glad they got to talk about things, that Jared was honest with her, even if Sandy wasn’t ready to hear all of it. Hopefully she’ll be able to come to terms with all once she’s had time to think things over.

Really love this line:

Epiphanies are funny things. They don’t always make you feel better. But they drown you in truth.Oh gosh, I was so sad that the couple came to adopt Belle. Jared was so conflicted - his heart torn in wanting the kitten to have a wonderful home, but also wanted to keep the kitten for Jensen. What would Jensen’s reaction be? I wasn’t surprised that Jensen was sad about Belle, but ultimately happy that she went to a good home ( ... )

You *always* point out my fave lines! Epiphanies indeed. Very personal. Happened to me in a way. Will share offline.

There are some reveals about Jensen's past coming up including his hospitalization. But as it's all Jared's POV what we learn is always through someone else's eyes. (Get how cleverly I did that ;)

You are such a perseptive reader I'm not sure how much I'll be able to surprise you. But maybe a little. It's fun riding that fairytale tightrope on this one.

I'm glad that Jeff is helping off duty, even if he doesn't believe the story. Jensen talking about being locked up and the head injury, questions, questions, questions I have.
I love that Jared was unable to help himself seeing Jensen and just had to kiss him. An all encompassing need to do so without realizing it. *sigh*
The fact that Jensen "checked" his sexual orientation and that he's "like Jared". I thought it was adorable. :)

Hey! You passed the halfway mark on the story. :) Things move fairly quick now toward releasing some secrets. And walking that fine line between fairy tale and harsh reality. I hope it keeps working for you.
