Adieu DC
I'm almost off. I leave DC in less than three hours. All of my friends have left for work. I've turned in my key. Now I'm just left to rattle around and dread having to drag my luggage up to Union Station. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't rain. I have nothing but fourteen hours on a train (and that's if the train stays on schedule) to look forward to. I'm armed with my ipod and and David Sedaris books. I certainly hope that'll be enough. Thankfully staring out the window always entertains me and any moving vehicle can put me to sleep instantaneously (helped by only getting six hours of sleep since I inexplicably got up at 5 this morning)so I should be fine.
I'm going to miss everyone here even if I won't really miss going to work and feeling like the worthless intern who has little to do. Still, I wouldn't trade this summer and I got to spend an amazing Fourth of July weekend with everyone before I left. Now it's back to Ohio and then to Auburn in month to see all of my favorites for rush (get excited everyone).
