Suffering Australian Open 2010 Withdrawal

Feb 02, 2010 10:44

I. Am. Suffering. The worst. Tennis-watching. Withdrawal. Symptoms. Ever!

There, I said it.

As great as watching the men's finals was, I didn't want it to be over. I was thinking about it when I was heading towards the city with Jo. I was trying to read other people's papers about it on the train ride back home. And I was hoping to watch it on TV last night. No, I'm not crazy. Why would you say that??

So, about the men's finals for this year. What can I say?? I got the finals match that I wanted. Yay~!! Once again, there is no need to say who I wanted to win the match, but nevertheless, gooooo Federerrrrr!! Whoo!! Yay!! Yipee!!

However though, a part of me did want Murray to win as well.

It was a good match. Nothing more to add to that really. If you didn't watch it, you missed out! I was simply swooning through the entire game. Squeeeee~!!

The happy winner!

When Murray started to tear up at the mic, Jo was all, "awww", and I'll be honest, I was a bit like that too. I can only imagine the disappointment he felt. But he's still young (younger than me!! Eeeks!!), so there's still lots of opportunity for him to win a grand slam. And he shouldn't be too disappointed since his ranking went up, right?? And Federer, seeing him so happy makes me smile. I am really happy he won.

Also, on a side note, let's not forget Jim Courier. I think he's so funny. And I enjoy listening to his commentary. Sure beats the other guys Channel 7 have. To me, he's always got something interesting to say, and he's so cheeky with his after-game on-court interviews with the players. More swoon.

Anyways, the Australian Open 2010 has finally come to an end. I'm so happy for being able to watch it, yet I'm sad that it's all over already. It'll take a few days or weeks before the tennis-watching withdrawal symptoms is completely out of my system.
