long time gone
I've been casually browsing friends journals but haven't really had much to say. Currently I'm unemployed with a few nibbles from interviews I've done. I'll probably end up getting a year-long temp job which will pay the bills while I search for a permanent position.
My girlfriend's cat "Fluffy" just died but I think we'll get through it okay. Fluffy had been very emaciated and not cleaning herself since the winter so we knew this was coming.
I'm playing Red Dead Redemption and so far it's a really beautiful game, though I can't get the hang of bronco busting. The first couple of horses in training were easy as I only had to worry about side to side adjusting, but after that they buck off in all four directions and I just can't get the hang of it. I find it endlessly amusing to kill people in amusing ways, like leaving them tied up on a railroad tracks or pushing them off of the docks because nobody can swim or float in this world.
My reduction of my soda intake is going okay. I'm down to only consuming one 2 liter bottle on Friday and Saturday. As much as water and juice have helped, after a time I was just going nuts from the withdrawals.
