30 Days Of Supernatural - Day 1 - Sam or Dean?

100% Dean girl here! XD Sure, I love Sam just the same, and I totally hate it when the boys are somehow divided (for example the first part of Season 8 - it just hurts, but it's also proof of both J's acting chops to play all the emotions and layers of hurt so well!), but Dean just waltzed into my heart the moment we see him as a grown up in Sam's Stanford apartment. Yeah, I know it's mostly due to that handsome Texan guy going by the name of Jensen Ackles playing him, but there's also a lot in Dean's character sheet that appeals to me.
For example, his absolute dedication to family. Even back in Season 1, you get the impression that he might have found their father on his own - he is that capable -, but somehow, he just couldn't take it anymore being alone. And he might not voice it or even show it in his body language, but I like to think that by the end of the pilot, when Winchester family history repeats itself, he even feels a little bit of guilt over pulling Sam back in the crazy world that is their life.
Another thing that I absolutely love about Dean is his "enjoying life to the fullest"-attitude. With their line of work, it's almost logic to do so (you never know if this isn't your last day on Earth), but I think it's also because of his overall character that he loves to enjoy the nicer things in life - like women, pie, his car, booze. And it gets an absolutely adorable new layer when they discover the bunker and all its amenities in Season 8 (I just say "nesting" XD).
Last but not least, I can't write about Dean without mentioning his love for music. And not just any kind of music, but the wonderful Classic American Rock of the 1970's, 1980's and early 1990's. Sure, some songs that once were wonderful and great are now hard to listen to (or even cringeworthy), but still, I bet that everyone of us has his or her own set of memories linked with a song or two from this period of time. And let's be honest - there's no other music fitting better both the show and Dean that Classic Rock, or could you imagine him and Sam hunting the monsters to the sounds of David Guetta or Rihanna? I definitely can't. Plus, we are bound to get Dean/Jensen belting out a classic once in a while, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is a treat for itself, even if Jensen doesn't dip into his full singing talent when in character.
