After the short interlude of Clint Barton icons, we're back on track with the Bomer Icon Festival. This time, we revisit Season 3 of White Collar (aka the very season where the cutie pie that Neal Caffrey is with glasses takes full effect for the first time). Made for Round 64 of
season20in20. Enjoy!

Notes:
minor character: Initially, I was torn between Ben Ryan (3x13) and Raquel Laroque (3x09). What finally pulled me over to her was (a) the air of mystery that surrounded her from her very first scene on and (b) the wonderful, sizzling chemistry she had with Neal, even if it was just for this episode. Not to mention that it was great to see "Tru" and "Luc" back together on screen.
category: "Upper West Side Story" was my #1 favorite episode from the very first time on I saw the whole season. After all the layers of betrayal, deception and double play that came with the U-boat-shaped elephant in the room for the better part of the first 11 episodes, this one was like pressing a reset button. To me, it was like going back to the very first episodes of the series. Neal was, once again, the charming hot mess that walked and danced along the thin line between criminal and law; Peter was the firm, guiding hand on his arm, finally putting trust in his CI and friend again. The balance was reestablished, somehow.
soft light: One of the most romantic moments of Season 3, happening at the end of "Veiled Threat". I chose this picture since I love the look Peter gives Elizabeth, conveying all the love he has for this formidable woman.
artist's choice: Five of the various persona's Neal had to take on over the course of the season.
#01: Gary Rydell (3x01 On Guard)
#02: Mr. Cooper (3x12 Upper West Side Story)
#03: Aide to the "Dentist of Detroit" (3x04 Dentist Of Detroit)
#04: Commander (3x08 As You Were)
#05: Restaurator (3x09 On The Fence)
Neal with glasses: as you can see, I included quite some icons of Neal wearing glasses/shades. I don't know how exactly, but seeing him bespectacled is pushing some buttons with me. It might have to do with Matt's very symmetric facial features and the fact that they get enhanced in a different way when he wears glasses; it also could be that when Neal has to wear them, the hypothetical line between Neal (the character) and Matt (the actor) begins to blur and subsequential, we're mostly bound to see a slightly different Neal; or you could simply blame it on the fact that I'm wearing glasses myself.
