Dear Hurt/Comfort Exchange Creator,

Mar 07, 2019 20:00

thank you so much for making anything for me! No matter what it is, I already know that I will love it to the moon (and back)! *hugs*

Now, onto the letter!

A. General Preferences
B. MCU
C. White Collar
D. The Magnficent Seven (TV)
E. Supernatural

A. General Preferences
(most of them fit both fics and fanart, though I have written them for writers)

DO NOT WANT

Non-canonical character death (especially, of course, in the pairings I requested, but also in general) - temporary character death is okay, but the "dead" character should be back with the others in the end (or at least the way back should begin to be paved)

Funerals (comes from my RL abhorence for them - too much bad emotion!) - visits to existing gravesites (with or without a heartfelt, one-sided conversation) are okay, though!

Hurt without comfort

Super dark!characters (accidental darkness (i.e. a character following another one in a manner that borders on stalking, but stays on the rather humorous side, especially if the followed character notices it early on and decides to play along) is okay, the same goes for using manners that are not exactly only on the good side to reach their goal ;)

Character or ship bashing (If you can't stand a character/ship, please man up and contact the mods for a change, or reach out to me somehow, maybe we can find a way)

No discussion of politics and the awfulness therein!

Rape/non-con (dub-con is okay to a certain degree - if you're not sure, please reach out to me)

Breakup fic (you can break them up, but bring them back together in the end)

Characters being shown as dumb / demoted in their intelligence / reduced to being just a "tool" in someone else's belt

LIKES

Smart characters! Or (at least) being competent in what they are doing, even when they know there might be consequences (can also be used as a kink!)

Idiots in Love - which means for me the characters are pining for each other without knowing the other's true feelings, and usually realize it later on (with or without some helping hands!)

Everybody's Alive! Most of my fandoms have their share of sad-ending relationships (in any flavor), so if you can give me some happy ending, with nobody dying (as noted above, temporary deaths are okay), and with as much fluff as you can, I'm (more than) good!

Romance Tropes! I'm pretty much game for almost all of them XD (if written in a good way), but I have kind of a soft spot for the following: friends with benefits (that might evolve into something more serious), slight jealousy/possessiveness (not over the top display, please, but simple gestures/words are okay - as long as both partners can laugh about it afterwards, you're good), Cuddling (works also on the friendship front), Misunderstandings (as long as they are clarified and don't drive a wedge between the characters), Fake Dating (that evolves into real dating), Fake Marriage, A/B/O (in a way that doesn't display omegas as birthing machines only/demotes them to humans with no rights whatsoever), Bed Sharing (both at the beginning of a love relationship or friendship), Meet-Cutes (and Meet-Uglys that get turned around)

AUs! Don't get me wrong, I love my fandoms just right as they are (in terms of setting/time and all that jazz), but I love reading about the characters in a different time/setting. Favorites include: Space AU, Modern AU (for any fandom that's usually set in an earlier time frame - vice versa for any modern setting fandom). I'll detail this point further down the page in the fandoms ;), Band AU

Working relationships! In a way where the characters have managed to have an established relationship while working in the same field (for example cops, or FBI agents), probably despite the misgivings of their bosses, but now they have to live with the "consequences" aka the emotions that threaten to take them over when the other half is in a dangerous situation (and yes, they know each other better, but especially when one of them is known for reckless behaviour, they can't help but worry, most of the time to the slight amusement of their colleagues)

Case fics! Be it within the lines of the established fandom setting or in an AU, a clever written case, with some unexpected twists and turns and some mystery (that isn't too difficult to explain in the end), is very welcomed and enjoyed at this place!

Smut! As I love to write whenever something like this letter comes up - I'm a big girl, so don't hesitate to go as smutty as you are comfortable with! First times are as perfect as new sides in an established relationship - as long as the characters are happy afterwards, I'm as well! For Artists: don't be afraid to show certain bits (both boys and girls) ;)

Crossovers & Fusions! I didn't request any at the signups (that would have been a bit too much), but if you can make a crossover work (you can also include fandoms I haven't listed below), I love you just the same. The same goes for fusions (e.g. Neal Caffrey being an MI-6 agent like James Bond, maybe meeting him).

Music! I'm a music afficinado at heart (with a heavy preference for music up until the early 1990's), a huge Bon Jovi fan, but if you can incorporate any song out there, feel free to broaden my horizon, so to speak. I also never say no to any kind/variation of Band AU/Musician AU.

There's definitely more to these lists, but these are my absolute favorites (or dislikes). And I repeat once again: If you're not sure about anything, please don't hesitate to reach out to me (either through the mods or with an anonymous comment here)

Now: onto specific fandoms!
(I might give you some pointers as to what I would love to see/read, but in the end, I'm open to anything you want to give me On a further note: if not specified, any of the following ships works for me both in a sexual and a friendship way, so if you're more comfortable with writing certain characters being friends with each others, feel free to do so. And of course you can include any other character from the fandoms, but please keep the focus on the pairings listed ;) )

A. MCU

I love the MCU in general, and there are probably a handful characters that I can't stand (mostly the villains). My most favorite characters are Clint Barton and Bucky Barnes, with everyone else right behind them (to a certain degree with some characters, but that's more due to storytelling). For these two, feel free to include certain aspects from the comics as well (i.e. Clint being deaf/having to wear hearing aids, or having Lucky at his side, or Bucky taking up the mantle of Captain America). I'm pretty much open for any pairings, as long as they are working for me (or you can explain it why these two characters are perfect together). Only exceptions are: Bruce/Natasha (as teased in Age of Ultron); Steve/Sharon (as implied in Civil War), Grandmaster/Loki (this is more on the fic side, I didn't get that certain vibe from the movie); any pairings that involve any of the bad guys (like Rumlov, or Rollins), I accept past relationships here, but no present tense ones.

SHIPS

James "Bucky" Barnes & Shuri:
Another pairing that had way too less scenes together (in fact, it's only the mid-credit scene from "Black Panther"). Not trying to limit you in any way, but I would love to see scenes from the two years between Bucky going into cryo at the end of "Civil War" and T'Challa bringing the new arm to Bucky in "Infinity War". How did Shuri's POV of the former assassin change over that time? Was she afraid of him, or was he just another science project to her? And did she learn anything from him as well?

James "Bucky" Barnes/Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov:
To be honest, a trio that I found and fell in love with thanks to the wonder named AO3. Works the best for me when set in an AU (leave that up to you), but I would love to see it as close to canon as possible (like Bucky being Hydra's asset for so long, his trials and tribulations and how Clint and Tash help him, etc...) Also one of those pairings where I don't mind a merger in the characters with traits from the comics (as it was in one story I read that took place after Comic!Tash was apparently killed by Evil!Steve and someone killed people in her manner, which sends Bucky and Clint, both her exes, on an investigative spree, with quite some surprises)

James "Bucky" Barnes/Clint Barton:
Discovered this pairing while working on one of the bangs I participated last year. Which is a bit surprising, even to me, cause my two favorite characters in the MCU, and I only learned about the romantic ship like now??? As with almost all other pairings in this letter - anything goes!

James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers:
My OTP in the MCU XD like with any other pairing, open to anything, from pre-War shenanigans (in any flavor, with some time-specific angst sprinkled in (just not too much)), to stolen moments during the War (with maybe the Howlies protecting them in secret), to their trials and tribulations once Bucky is back from HYDRA's clutches (with a side dish of uncertainty/PTSD/recovering memories of almost a century), Bucky re-entering (and learning about) modern society with Steve at his side (and a supportive Sam). And of course, any non-power/non-serum AU where Steve becomes the walking dorito in a different way, but is still the Steve we know from the MCU. Also working: college AUs where Steve is an art student and Bucky becomes his favorite subject to draw, despite the other man's misgivings (which vanish once he sees all the drawings Steve has done already without Bucky knowing). Non-power AUs where Bucky is a veteran who lost his arm in any actual warzone, and meets Steve one way or another, which brings out his insecurities (especially about his prosthetic), but Steve is totally supportive all the way (and maybe introduces him to Tony and/or Shuri). Or any combination of Steve being Captain America and modern!Bucky.

Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov:
How did Clint manage to have Natasha defect to SHIELD anyway? Did he just use words or any kind of seduction? Was it the other way around? Or in regards to the upcoming "Endgame" movie - what happens after the Tokyo street scene with these two? Can Natasha reason with Clint that they are stronger together, or will Clint continue on his solo spree? Also working: any AU where Clint is still with the circus when meeting Natasha (who's maybe not an assassin and spy, but a ballet dancer or something like that). AUs where Clint and Natasha are neighbours and their pets (=Lucky and Liho) are kind of playing matchmaker for these two.

James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov:
Didn't really know that certain pairing exists at all until the sign-ups XD Canon-related, these three all had their fair share of hurt and loss and betrayal over their respective lifetimes. So maybe, Nat is kind of their guide to the present, while Steve and Bucky work on getting her opening up a bit, freeing her from the chains of her past. Or, in a canon divergence to Infinity War, Bucky survives the snap (and one of the other two not), and he and either Steve or Nat try to move on afterwards, while simultaneously looking for possibilities to bring the missing piece back into their lives. Of course, like with any pairing on this letter, AUs, Crossovers and Fusions are more than welcomed.

ADDITIONAL TAGS

Touch-Starved: fits almost any of the named characters here, but especially Nat, Bucky and Steve. Show me any way how the other characters help them.

Temporary Hearing Loss: according to the comics, Clint is hard of hearing. Does that make him the first person to go to if another character suffers a similar loss? How can he help them with his own experiences? Will he teach them sign language?

Survivor Guilt: Steve had to face it twice in almost a century, Natasha and Clint definitely also had their share of it. How do you move on if a part of you is just... gone? Is it even possible?

Sleep Deprivation: Once again, almost any character mentioned above is bound to overwork themselves for the greater good. How do the others help them to overcome this self-inflicted sleep deprivation? Or in a different scenario, how does any of them cope when they are captured and denied the right to sleep at all? Is it different for Steve or Bucky, due to the serum?

Smiling To Hide The Pain: Honestly, when I read this prompt, I immediately thought of either Bucky, Steve or Clint. But I bet, even Natasha would smile despite an injury if it helps her cause. Go wild with this one!

Prothetics: Sure, Bucky is the prime candidate for this one, but it could be any of them. How do you cope with losing any part of your body and get it replaced with something artifcial? Did Bucky fight the arm back in the day? Can he feel a difference between the old and the new one he got in "Infinity War"? What were his thoughts upon losing the arm in "Civil War"? And: how can he be of help when it happens to someone else?

Protector becomes protectee: Even the strongest character has his breaking point, and that's when other characters have to step up to the plate and take over from him (or her). Steve is primed for this prompt, but again, any of the others work just as fine.

PTSD: Pretty much self-explaining - how do you cope with what you see on the job? When you have to realize that you can't save everyone, despite of all your good intentions?

Loss of Limb(s): see "Prosthetics"

Loss of Identity: Almost any of the characters has suffered (at least temporary) loss of identity. But I bet they all did cope in a different way. For example, how did Nat cope after defecting to SHIELD? Steve after coming to terms with the fact that he had "slept" for more than 7 decades? Bucky, first after "The Winter Soldier", and then after they manage to get rid of his programming? Or Clint, after fighting the Chitauri, and coming to terms with Loki's mind manipulations?

Family Loss: Most recently, Clint and Natasha and the effects of the "snap" on Clint's wife and kids. How do they both cope with that? How did Steve cope with the death of his ma, despite having Buck at his side? Or after Bucky fell from the train? Did it feel the same, or were there differences for him? Maybe losing Peggy was also kind of losing a part of his family?

Hallucinations of Dead Family Members/Loved Ones: Does any of them have vivid dreams of the people they loved and lost? Dreams that leave them sad and hurt over the loss all over again? Do they walk on the street and believe, even for only a heartbeat, that a lost loved one is walking on the other side of the street? Did Steve see Bucky in the weeks and months following his fall?

Learning To Be Loved: First character that my mind provided for this prompt is Natasha - mostly because she was trained to use everything of her, including her body, as a weapon, a means to an end. But how did that change after defecting to SHIELD? And how can she now be helpful to other characters experiencing the same? Can Bucky learn it again, after all those years of being used as a weapon? Can Steve overcome the old-grown self-esteem issues he had before the serum and open up for unconditional love?

Long Road To Recovery: Once again, Bucky is the first to come to mind. But here, I'm more leaning toward the long road of psychological recovery he had to master after "The Winter Soldier". The mind wipes they did on him were also a means of torture, and as we all know, psychological wounds take the longest to heal. How can other characters help him? And can Bucky accept their help?

Caring for Prosthetic: Personally, I don't think that HYDRA really did care for the arm itself. Sure, they did repairs if something was malfunctioning, but beyond that - not really. And Bucky never was exactly in the right mindset to do anything (or if he was, just something basic). So how did that change with the new arm?

Caretaking: Both Steve and Clint are born caretakers to me, to the point that they put everyone ahead of them on their priority list. So here, you can either go the traditional route and show us one of them taking care of another character, or you could flip it and let them being taken care of by someone else.

Hiding injuries/Hidden Illness: see "Smiling To Hide The Pain"

Hiding Injuries to take care of others first: see "Caretaking"

Hiding Injury to keep other character from going ballistic: pretty much any character works here, though once again, I see either Clint, Steve or Bucky here as the main character.

B. White Collar

White Collar was the first show to break me out of my purely SPN fandom way, and it made me fall in love with Matt Bomer (which in turn led to me exploring shows I never, ever would have thought of XD). Anyway, from the first episode I saw on, I was hooked on the characters, the storytelling, the practically non-existent violence, and most of all the fact that crime shows don't have to be gritty and full of gore and with characters on an eternal frustration loop to be entertaining. Don't be limited by the pairings listed beneath, I'll take whatever you have to offer!

SHIPS

Diana Berrigan & Neal Caffrey:
Back in Season 4, we saw a glimpse of what could have been a wonderful friendship between Diana and Neal. But like they did with Neal & Jones a season before, they, more or less, derailed it almost a heartbeat later. What if that wasn't the case? Would Theo Berrigan not only have one, but two criminally cool uncles? Or what if Diana is in Paris post-series and runs into a certain former con-man? Show me moments from their friendship (with or without her sweet son Theo in the picture).

Neal Caffrey & June Ellington:
As with Neal and Diana, we also only got glimpses in their relationship. Sure, we had that wonderful first meeting in the second hand store in the Pilot, or Neal worrying about her in "Countermeasures" (with an awesome duet and a wonderful last scene), but I can't help but want more of these. I always thought (and I think it's even addressed in the show) that June sees Neal as the son she never had with Byron. And of course, like any mother, she looks out for her boy. Which is exactly what I would love to see, but of course, I'll love and appreciate anything I get.

Neal Caffrey & Mozzie:
We saw in "Forging Bonds" how everything started, but how did it really get to the point where they consider each other as "brothers in everything but blood"? Or what's Mozzie's reaction once he learns that Neal isn't dead at all (set post-series)? What's Neal's input into seeing his longtime friend as a dedicated uncle to Peter's and Diana's kids? Just some thoughts, cause like with almost any pairing on the show, there's a lot of space to fill for.

Peter Burke & Neal Caffrey:
I know, the most-used pairing on the show XD But I still think that there's so much more to explore of their friendship left for us fans. Sure, they both had more faith in the other man than anyone else from the get-go, but I like to think in the beginning, it was just as far as they could throw the other one. So how did that grow over the years, despite the hurdles Neal's old foes, new criminals and the higher-ups of the FBI tried to put in their way? Or what's necessary post-series, once Peter learns of Neal's final deception, to rebuild that friendship? Is it even possible?

Peter Burke & Elizabeth Burke & Neal Caffrey:
We saw a glimpse of them both taking care of "their" CI in "Vital Signs", after Neal is drugged. But I bet that wasn't the only instance where the Burkes teamed up on the con man in a caring manner XD Twist a case we saw on the show, come with a new one - any way works, as long as there's Neal, not exactly at 100%, and the Burkes, including Satchmo, are nursing him back. (Bonus points if Neal lets anything about his past slip, maybe in fever, but neither Peter nor El mention it afterwards)

Elizabeth Burke & Mozzie:
Next to the surprising development between Mozzie and Peter in later seasons, this was one of the most surprising friendships we saw forming on the show. But then again, we didn't get too many glimpses into that particular bond. Does Mozzie lean on El after Neal's "death"? Is he, in turn, there for her during her pregnancy when Peter is, more or less, locked in the office? Anything goes here, folks.

Peter Burke & Mozzie:
Truth be told, I didn't see that development when these two first met back in Season 1. They were, and still are, like the proverbial opposite poles. But somehow, they became friends. Show me little moments from that bond, either set before, during or after the series finale? Did their friendship got weaker or stronger after Neal's death? Did Peter let Mozzie in on his findings after discovering the truth about their common friend?

Elizabeth Burke & Neal Caffrey:
Being the wife of an FBI agent can't be all sunshine and roses. Especially when your husband works with a trouble magnet like Neal Caffrey. And still, El formed a bond, a friendship with Peter's new "work wife". How do their respective views of the other one change over the years? Does El complain to Neal about Peter spending so much time at the office?

ADDITONAL TAGS

Difficult pregnancy: we didn't get to see a lot about El's pregnancy (or Diana's, for that matter). But what if not everything went fine? And who is there to help them through these rough patches? Mozzie? Neal?

Homesickness: Mostly for Neal and his post-series life in Paris. Can he keep up the charade, or does he get more and more homesick the longer his "con" goes on? And will he reach out to someone back in New York?

Loss Of Identity: Despite him claiming it his "greatest con", I like to think that Neal, in some way, felt a loss of identity after his "death", even temporarily. On his own in Paris, how does he cope? Or does he put it all in a proverbial box and put it to the back of his mind?

Hallucinations of Dead Family Members/Loved Ones: We saw a glimpse of it happen in the final stretch of "Au Revoir", when Peter sees Neal first in a reflection of a window, and then sitting at his desk. What if Peter wasn't the only one that did happen to? Will others reach out to him? And will they share their grief with him?

Touch-Starved: Both Neal and Mozzie didn't have a good childhood, and while I like to think that both Ellen and Mr. Jeffries did their best to shower each boy with love, they both must have some deficits when it comes to touches. And being criminals for so many years doesn't help here either. Can they overcome this certain obstacle?

C. The Magnificent Seven (TV)

The very fandom that brought me into the whole wide wonderful world of fanfiction (and made me a slash fan later on). Came into the show while looking for other works of Eric Close (which I became a fan of thanks to "Without A Trace"). Sadly, we only got two seasons (and a grand total of whooping 22 episodes), but on the other hand, that means writers and artists can literally go nuts with spinning the story further, exploring scenes that we didn't see, and of course, every possible pairing of the characters.

SHIPS

Chris Larabee & Vin Tanner:
Had me from the very moment Chris' eyes meet Vin's across the main street in the Pilot. You can see the instant understanding in these two men, both with their own burden, but determined to stop the bad guys from hanging an innocent man. Would love to see missing moments from the show, or AU scenes where these two meet and become friends as well.

Chris Larabee/Vin Tanner:
Works for me mostly because no matter what universe we're in, Vin respects Chris' decisions, backs him up, but he's also not afraid to speak up if he thinks it the right place to do so. Best moment for me on the show was in the series finale when he tries to talk sense into his friend, and especially in that scene, it's quite easy to see that all playing out through my slash-colored googles ;) Anyway, show me some domestic moments at Chris' cabin, take them to any existing AU verse, or create a new one.

Chris Larabee & Ezra Standish & Vin Tanner:
Our Southern gambler was the third addition to my favorite characters list (right after Vin and Chris), and I loved that while these characters are quite the opposite of each other, Vin had not really a problem with (a) who the gambler was, (b) where he came from, and (c) some his POVs on the situations they ran into. Vin also realized that while Ezra definitely was a damn good shooter, his real talent lay elsewhere. I only wished they had Chris realize that too and incorporate Ezra more into the planning stages of their attacks instead of only focusing on his apparent conman talents (and his gambling). So, if you could work around anything like that (be it Old West or any AU setting, I don't care XD), I really would love you.

Chris Larabee/Ezra Standish/Vin Tanner:
Simple put, there are not enough stories featuring these three as lovers out there (or at least those which are still existing). So, especially for this pairing, really anything goes! Go Nuts!

Vin Tanner & the Seven:
As you all know, there's a saying that "it takes a village to raise a child". Or in this case here, it takes six men (+plus other inhabitants of Four Corners) to take care of the stubborn Texan tracker. XD Again, anything goes, with or without any slashy undertones ;)

Josiah Sanchez/Vin Tanner (but also Josiah & Vin):
Not exactly a pairing that I have thought of (mostly because Josiah is, at least to me, the oldest of the group, while Vin is more likely among the younger). But still, these certainly had their moments that went beyond pure friendship. Maybe it's not exactly in a physical, but more in a spiritual way. Both men have experiences with different religions, and maybe that's the connecting point for them.

Chris Larabee/Ezra Standish:
Another pairing that I wouldn't have known of, if not for fanfiction XD These two are real opposites at first glance, and I can't shake the feeling that Chris, at least at the beginning, sees some relevance to his late son Adam in the Southern gambler. Still, the saying goes that opposites attract, plus we all know that Chris, deep down below the rough exterior and dark clothes, has a caring heart and soul. So please, let him take care of "his" wayward gambler, in the most fluffiest way you can come up with!

ADDITIONAL TAGS

Imprisonment: Most of the seven had their share of being on the wrong side of the bar in their past. And it's canon that there's a hefty reward on Vin's head, for a crime he didn't commit? What if the marshal succeeded in taking Vin to Tascosa in 2x02 "Sins of the Past"? How does Vin cope with being imprisoned? And how does the rest of the Seven try to help him, with both legal and illegal means? Modern AUs are also a possibility here.

Hurt character protects another character: this could be set during the two-parter in Season 2, "Wagon Trail". What if any of the boys is hurt during one of the attacks, but still keeps up fighting to protect the women and children on the trail? Maybe it's Ezra, maybe it's Chris. Could work with pretty much any of them (and of course in any AU, as well).

Historical Medical Treatment (and field medicine): For the show's canon, it's self-explaining. But it also could work in a modern AU where Nathan has to rely on an old medicine book to save the day (and his colleague).

Gunshot Wounds: par of the course in a Western setting (but also in any law enforcement AU), so pretty much self-explaining XD

Loneliness: Due to their lives pre-series, most of the guys are pretty reclusive, and therefore, loneliness is a big part of their lives. Can the friendship with the rest of the peacekeepers and the growing acceptance in the town's inhabitants break down this wall?

Mutual Pining: Works with any of the characters, and in almost any timeline you choose, though I would love to see some historical accurancy for the Western scenarios. And of course with Happy End, please!

**********************
D. Supernatural

SPN is, next to the MCU, my main fandom, or as call it, "my fandom home". If any of my other fandoms let me down, I can come back here and feel better. I'm a Dean girl at heart, so don't be surprised at the pairings below, but I also have a soft spot for Sam, Cas, Jack, Charlie, Mary, Donna, Jo, Ellen, Chuck, Bobby, Jody, Crowley, Rowena, Garth, and probably a ton of other characters. And please don't feel narrowed down by the pairings listed below - I gladly take any of my favorite peeps in a pairing!

SHIPS

Benny Lafitte/Dean Winchester:
From the very moment we see these two on the screen for the first time, I loved this pairing, in any flavor. Sure, the show played it as friendship, but it's no big step to see them as lovers (at least to me). Like with so many pairings in this letter, almost anything goes, from missing scenes from the show's canon, to canon divergences where Benny returns to Dean at the end of "Taxi Driver", to any kind of AU you can think of.

Castiel & Jack & Sam & Dean:
Team Free Will 2.0. I certainly love the addition of Jack in Season 13, and I also love the way all three guys act as father figures to him, sharing their life experiences with him and shaping him. Missing scenes from any hunt they've been on, domestic glimpses into their days at the bunker - anything goes!

Dean/Sam (but also Dean & Sam):
They both have the tendency to give literally everything for a win, and sometimes they have the remnants to tell the tale. Some aftercare after a hunt, one brother/lover taking care of the other while being sick at the bunker, domestic moments where they have no fear to talk about their feelings - go wild! And of course, it also can end up raunchy! And like his big brother, Sam is also good at hiding injuries and bad feelings. Give me Dean breaking down the walls, taking care of his little brother in every way he can think of.

Dean/Cas:
Another pairing on the show that I both love in the way we see it in the episodes (friendship bordering on family), but also can see transist into a real love relationship. As Cas states in an early Season 6 episode, he and Dean share a "profound bond", so why not take this special connection and amp it up with some hurt Dean and caretaker Cas?

John & Mary & Sam & Dean:
Being a family also includes bad days, and hurt, and worry. Go either back to the pre-series life of these four before the fire, or show me a sweet missing moment from "Lebanon" (ep. 300) where they all are back to being that family, if even for a moment.

Mary & Dean & Sam:
Sure, Mary is, like her sons, an excellent hunter, but still, the boys worry about her well-being, and of course come running when she's injured. Can also work in an AU where Mary getting sick or hurt reunites the brothers (or at least paves the way)

ADDITIONAL TAGS

I explained some of the tags in the pairings ;) Here's the rest:

Fever: Sometimes, their hunts leave either or both Winchesters hurt. And sometimes, despite them taking care, wounds can infect, leading to fever. Will there be any revelations coming from them while being in the throes of a fever? Will Mary be remembered of being up all night when the boys were young?

Coughing Up Blood: As we saw back in Season 1, some of their opponents don't even need a weapon to cause this (Yellow Eyes in "Devil's Trap"). But what if the cause isn't as easy to find? Will it become a race against the clock to save one of them?

Blood Loss: A hunt goes awry, the car breaks down, and one brother is stuck in a cabin (or anything like that) with the other badly hurt and no way to get them to a hospital (Cas can't be reached, or has not enough mojo to teleport them). How do they keep the hurt one alive, especially when there's a bit of black magic mixed in?

Vampire refusing to feed off loved one to save themselves: Dean/Benny all the way, please! Benny is hurt, Dean comes to his rescue, but in fact, it's a trap that can't be broken by a mere human (even if it's a Winchester XD). So the only one able to break it is Benny, but he's too weak to do so. Dean offers himself for Benny to feed, but the vampire refuses. Cue Sam to the rescue (and maybe accepting Benny into the family afterwards)!

Gunshot Wounds: pretty much self-explaining!

Family Loss: also self-explaining

Families of Choice: As Dean said to John in "Lebanon" when John says he wanted Dean to have a family, he has one, though in more wonderful way than the traditional one. Give me some domestic moments, either missing from canon, or any AU where the boys have a similar family structure. Or in a differnet setting - do Cas and Jack see the brothers as their chosen family by now?

Hallucinations of Dead Family Members/Loved Ones: self-explaining (and fitting to any of the characters)

Wings clipped/cut off: Cas is, matter-of-fact, a fallen angel. Means in canon he deliberately clipped his wings to a certain degree, and chose humanity over his angel brethren. What if that went differently? If Cas just shows up one day at the Winchester's current motel room, with a bleeding back and in obvious pain? How do the boys react to that? How does Cas cope with it all, especially when he realizes he's human?
