It's starting to feel more like Christmas break. My grandpa is headed home as I type this entry. Plans to get together with that side of the family are still good to go for now and my other grandma is here now for Christmas. She's so funny; I love that she was able to come down today. God is so good; He sustains us through the hard times and gives us the light we need to remain encouraged. Speaking of light, I'm reminded of a Christmas carol that I love - one that, at both Taylor and my home church, we light candles as a reminder that Christ came into the world as our source of light in this dark world.

Joy to the world! the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing, and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.
Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns; Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy, repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow, Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found, far as, far as the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness, and wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love, and wonders, and wonders of His love.

Isn't it a great God we serve?
Merry Christmas everyone!
