10th stain on the bathrobe

Azzip is still open. Do excuse us if there's any drop in the quality of the pizzas, as i'm filling in for Duo until he feels better.

[Find Arthur dutifully working away at his sammiches at the Azzip counter. He hums some complete lack of tune, like you'd hear a prole humming in 1984. He's purposefully projecting a calm, friendly atmosphere... ( Read more... )

[Have a very large, very lost-looking man, wandering around the village. He peeks into Azzip, scoffs, and turns to leave. ...Then he notices someone making SANDWICHES. All thoughts of teams or colors go right out the window as he dashes towards Arthur, practically making the building shake with each gleeful step.]

[Things go tumbling and pots clatter to the floor with Heavy's approach. A glass shatters. Arthur looks up at a man who's practically the size of a Vogon and asks in a terrified voice...]

What'll you be having...sir?

[Oh god. Oh God.]

[He's going to punctuate this with frequent and excessive hand gestures, just to make sure Arthur knows what to make.]

Goes like this, comrade. First, white bread. Then slice of ham, then cheese with holes in it. [Swiss cheese.] Then tomato, then lettuce, then last you put more bread on top. Finally, you stab toothpick with olive on it into sandvich. You can make that, da?

[Oh thank god. Something relatively simple.]

Yes sir, coming right up.

[Arthur elects not to prepare the sandwich on the counter this time. He doesn't want the big man seeing his hands shake. Instead there's the sound of chopping and slicing from the back. The hardest part is actually the toothpick: He has to break one of Hijiri's skewers. After a minute, he hands it over to the big man.]

[He takes an enormous bite of the sandwich, chewing with his mouth open and getting bits of it everywhere. He makes a "nom nom nom" sound as he chews. He swallows it, then pauses for a moment, staring at the remaining half of the sandwich.]

Is... is absolutely perfect...

[He's staring at Arthur as if he were a god.] You are new favorite person, sandvich comrade. What is your name?

[Arthur is sprayed and terrified, frozen in place. If the big man doesn't like it...Well, he might not be able to die until he gets to Stavromula Beta but he can certainly be picked up by his feet and clubbed against the countertop until he's retarded. When Heavy seems to approve he breaths out in relief, having forgotten to exhale.]

Dent...Arthur Dent. And y-you?

Heavy Weapons Guy, comrade Arthur. You can call me Heavy, haha. [He plucks the olive off of the skewer and chews on it.] So, Arthur, can you make more sandviches now? I want some for later. Same kind, da?

(ooc: that's the best thing I've read all day.)

O-of course.

[And he disappears into the back, silently praying for Hijiri's forgiveness for the sacrifice of his skewers. He'll return in a few minutes with a small stack of them.]

Wonderful, hahaha! [He grabs the stack of sandviches with his free hand.] Thank you, comrade Arthur! [He crams the last of the sandwich into his mouth and lumbers off with a parting "om nom nom", leaving a trail of crumbs behind.]
