As many of you already know, last week we lost one of the greatest animated film directors of all time when Satoshi Kon died of pancreatic cancer. That...was deeply saddening news. What I found yesterday was that since he pretty much knew he was down to his last hours he wrote one last blog post as a thank you and farewell to his friends, family and fans. It's long, kind of meandering...and raw. The final thoughts of an incredible man. If you can get all the way through without at least tearing up, well...you're a hell of a lot more stoic than I. Would that we all had the chance to give such a goodbye.
