squeaky floors and squeakier food

Apart from a short rainshower (by which time they were almost dry anyway), the weather today has proved it is still warm enough to dry my clothes outside. Always good.

Today hasn't been terribly interesting; I can't really say anything much happened, but it was a day that kind of just 'passed by'. At the time of updating here, the poem I've been working on is only a handful of lines away from completion, but I suspect it's one of those poems that sounds better spoken than read. So I may delay 'publication' (I can't think of a better word!) until such time as I can read it effectively.

Tonight's dinner was a stir-fry with halloumi, shiitake 'shrooms, pepper, chilli, baby sweetcorn, sugarsnap peas, and no onion, served with rice noodles and (ok, I cheated) a packet stiry-fry sauce (sechuan tomato, for the record). Not cooked much with halloumi; interesting substance, that kind of 'squeaks' when you chew it!

Tried cleaning my living room floor, but seems I might need more elbow power so will have to buy a proper scrubbing brush rather than using the dodgy mop that I currently have. Ahhh domesticity.
