Still not sure why I sing with a slight American twang, mind ...
7am ... I can barely remember my own *name* when I get up at 7am. But was indeed in work *and* had eaten breakfast there by 8.30am, from whence I spent much of the day in a pseudo-training session about our sweet new system for categorising what people actually *say*.
One might have thought that, upon implementing surveys asking what people think of us, we would actually have a system that could look at what they say and automatically tell us what the most common reasons are for giving certain scores etc ... so, 2½ years after we started ... ;)
Looks like a nice and geeky system that, once the categories are sorted out in the first place, I will have a nice time exploring. Oh wait, it's probably going to end up being me who'll have to *create* the categories in the first place .... well at least the system itself can help with that :)
Had another singing lesson tonight; one might one day eventually hope that it's all kind of worth it, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Still, am better than I was. Not that that's really all that difficult ...
Met up with Tracey again this evening, in Hucknall this time. (exciting!). Her contract'll soon be at an end and she'll be off somewhere else, will be a shame to not be meeting her once a week. Heck, it's *almost* like I have a social life ;)
Two of my CDs arrived today; the 5CD Patti Smith collection, and the 2CD Dar Williams set. The others will be coming imminently, and I've also had notification that the two books have been despatched too, so hopefully will have the lot by the weekend :)
