I watched King Arthur again, and I finally caved in and got a slashy Lancelot icon.
This was the film that started my Ioan love. I don't like a lot of epics (POTC is obviously an exception), but I'll always love this one.
Lancelot was always my favorite knight, and Ioan's version was PERFECT not to mention sexy.
I watched Titanic again last night. It's odd that the ending of this made me cry and Titanic didn't. Maybe it's because I adore Ioan, and Leo bugs the crap out of me in most films.
Is it just me or is there major Lancelot/Arthur, Arthur/Guinevere, Lancelot/Guinevere going on in this film?
There’s all the subtexty moments between Arthur and Lancelot that mean more to me than the obvious pairings. Then when Lancelot DIED saving Guinevere, and Arthur was off fighting someone else totally oblivious I started to cry. I can’t help it. My imagination goes crazy with subtexty films.
I ended up wishing they’d just end up in a happy threesome relationship the first time I saw it, but it was unfortunately obvious that Lancelot would die from the beginning. I thought it was great that they had Ioan as the narrator and it began and ended with Lancelot. The movie was a lot better than I had expected.
Lancelot’s death scene was beautiful, but extremely heartbreaking.
