There's no wedding bells in the future yet for him but it's coming pretty close. When they met, it was her singing that caught his attention. Now whether or not it was from boredom that caused him to listen or the fact that he's too proactive to let anyone do something alone that's an incredibly big job, who knows.
He's willing to listen to her and he's willing to lay down his life for her safety so that's saying quite a bit. He's one of the few armed men in the city of corruption and has killed five men to prove the point that there's hardly anything that will hold him back from achieving his goal.
Along with this comes the possibility that Giselle and Sheldon will remain behind. Why? Starting over sucks. Sheldon knows what awaits him in his world. The task can be accomplished without his presence. He's considered dead anyway. In Giselle's case, he doesn't want her returning to a world where happiness is fleeting and the chance for her to gain acceptance or the chance to live without fear or uncertainty.
Honestly, Giselle was the only one that saw Sheldon for who he really is and managed to bring the best out in him when he's locked it back for so long.
