yes, an update finally.
I just need to quit this thing. I rarely come back to it.
Since LJ I have signed up for flickr.com and tagworld.com
Tagworld sucks cuz there is seriously some strange people on there.
I paid for flickr cuz I got sucked in for hosting some pics.
I guess I don't come here much because my LJ seems kind of childish. Oh the things I used to post and worry about. ridiculous now.
So my life is mostly about work and working out. It's the typical 9-5 with some after parties thrown in. Not a lot but a few to let everyone know that I'm not just about work. I've been at C's for about 2 1/2 years now. I like it and have no complaints. This is the busy season of course so there will be some late hours for the next 3 weeks. I'm crossing my fingers for a promotion on Monday. Moving to another dept and will be trained for auto cad. I downloaded myself some new pieces of Nara and Takashi Murakami as new wallpaper for my phone.
Steve and I moved in together in December. Finally an apt of our own. Just invested in some new furniture together. Very happy with our giant comfy couch that makes me look like a midget when I sit on it.
When I finally get down having a life, my mom likes to call and throw in some stress. She's still struggling with her cancer. She's been off chemo since early March and we've had 3 emergencies so far. I have to keep leaving work at least once a week for her emergencies. Finally transferred her over to Memorial Sloan Kettering last week. Last weekend we had a family meeting and signed some legal documents and her health care proxy. I'm the 2nd down the line to make a decision. First is my dad. My dad is thinking of retiring early to care for her 24-7 cuz she is starting to have problems doing every day things like taking a shower, using the bathroom, and just walking. I think we're going to have to invest in a wheelchair of one of those electric scooters soon.
So that is that. I've decided to get her Maya Angelou's book, "Mother" for Mother's day. Of course I'm going to have to translate all the poems to chinese and paste them on the opposite page.
I'm hoping to have time to take a salsa class this summer, also want to get scuba certified before my cruise in October to Aruba. But that's if I have time.
