Random stuff about me:
Learning Japanese. Just like everyone else, I've always had the interest in learning the language from watching animes and dramas. What really fueled me to learn though was being a fan of a Johnny's Entertainment group (Arashi). :) Learning the language got all the more fun as I recognize things I've learned in their conversations and songs. Learning started out as just a hobby of mine at first, but then, in my last year in university, I decided inspired by one of the talks our professor gave us to take a minor in Japanese Studies and take some formal classes for the language. After graduation, my parents let me go to Japan for a short Japanese language and culture study program alone (I was supposed to go with a friend, but she backed out last minute because of the news at that time about Japan. It was April 2011, a month after the Great Earthquake that time.). Needless to say, it was great staying there with all the interesting places and culture, and the friends I made. :) Now I'm studying harder so that we can all meet again back in Japan. ♥
Arashi fangirl. I was a big fan of the group when I was in university, to the point that I actually bought some of their goods from overseas (and I've never done it before so I was pretty anxious if things will go well or not), and I kept up with most of their shows to the point that I knew what episode they did a certain event. XD Ahh, good times. I still follow the group even now, though not as avidly as I did back then. The group really inspired me a lot, so they'll always hold a special place in my heart. ♥
Music lover. More specifically, Jpop. I do listen to Western music as well, but I prefer listening. It also helps when you're language as well, so that's a real plus for me. :) I've always loved music and I like singing songs while thinking of their meanings. I usually listen to particular songs because I can relate to them. :)

The type of LJ-er you are: (how often you post/comment etc:) Usually I only comment to say thanks to someone who shared download links and stuff (since I initially became more active in LJ to download my does of Arashi crack).
What you look for in a friend: Common interests. :) It's only the more personal entries that are f-locked though, so you wouldn't miss much even if you don't friend me. :)
Anything else you want to say or post: I act like a recluse, but I always enjoy time spent with friends. :)
