Not dead, just living without internet.
The house is fun. One bedroom totally renovated, kitchen set up, a good chunk of the way through the bathroom being totally redone, and the desk is almost ready to be inspected.
I can level railing rails, strip wallpaper, paint, ground outlets, wire half a bathroom, cut tile, contact paper shelves, and assist my husband with plumbing. (He being the one who made the hole in the pipe in the first place.) Everywhere we touch, it goes from old mistreated seventies to beautiful. I feel competent. And really tired.
So we're trying to hit the point where we can alternate working and being social. We're also trying to get set up enough in a house that we're working on that the internet is worth it, and in our budget. The budget being new, we're holding off. So we're watching Lost on DVD :) I love it so far, but worry that they can't keep it up.
Yesterday was my birthday. I got a the pretty light that is secretly a vent (for the bathroom), a laser pointer from a trainee so I can stop vaulting at the projector screen, and a chiminea :)
The other height of recent time - the boy fed me the end of a bottle of Jager, and took me to Home goods to find a bathroom mirror. It was a million degrees, but the store had AC. I almost came home with a bunch of glass chickens. Luckily, we had a designated buyer....
