Yesterday and today I transfered around 20 GB pictures from my laptop to my external harddrive. I think I might have a little problem. *g* I'm a sees-it-clicks-on-it-saves-it-person.
Anyway, my new computer is a dream. So fast comparing to my old laptop. I'll use that mostly for surfing the net and my new one for working, vidding and Photoshop. Greatness!
So, flist. Has anyone of you read the whole Outlander-Saga from Diana Gabaldon? I know, i know she's a little hypocrit concerning "inspiration" and fanfiction but I stumbled upon her second Lord John book in the library and I started reading. Then I bought the first one, which is now finished and after the book with the short stories (which is ordered and should arrive sometime this week) I'm all out of things to read about Lord John.
And how should I ever survive that?
So tell me, flist. Which of the original books has the most Lord John content? In which does he appear? I read the summaries on wikipedia and the whole Jamie/Claire thing doesn't speak to me at all, so I don't want to read through hundreds of pages to look for my favourite character. Help?
And other things: I rediscovered "As the World turns". I had a little phase when the Luke/Noah-thing started. Then they began to be boring and I stopped watching and read only the occasional spoiler.
But, now there's Dr. Reid Oliver. I saw that one clip in which he and Luke start to get all hot and bothered and that made me watch all of his scenes since he's on the show (which is January).
God that man has the arrogance of Dr. Rodney McKay and Dr. House plus the hotness of ten thousand suns. But he also has this vulnerable side and the best chemistry with Luke that just lights up the screen. And his snark and one-liner are perfection. This is one hot Motherf*cker.
Sure the stories are kinda, well, bad, but it surely is addicting. I for one am fully on Team Luke/Reid and hope they are the endgame when the show ends in September.
Pictural evidence:
Anything else? I've watched some Doctor Who, which is fantastic. The Season Finale of Chuck will be Greatness (and btw, I've really started to ship Chuck/Sarah like hardcore. They are so adorable and need to marry and have many smart and beautiful spy children).
The Ugly Betty finale was also pure joy. Now I just need to watch those episodes that lead up to that. I started with episode 17 (of that season, I saw the other seasons). And Daniel/Betty is so my OTP. They just belong together and I love, love, love that he came after her and that she pursued her career. Great rolemodel!
SPN made me cry. Several times.
So, now I'm back to answering comments (very late) and putting my files in order.
