SGA Big Bang
So, should I sign up to to art for the SGA Big Bang? Feel free to discourage me and tell me that I already have way too much stuff to do.
But I kind of want to because I fear I'm loosing my love for the show. I still haven't watched the last few episodes and I read only very few McShep stories in the last months. It's still was one of my main fandoms and I miss it. So this would be an opportunity.
Btw, I was thinking how my fannish life changed over the years. Starting with watching shows like Star Trek: TNG, Babylon 5 and those early shows and buying magazines to read all about the new episodes which would only come out next year on german tv. Recording episodes on my VCR and rewatching certain scenes again and again.
And then there was Roswell which started really fannish behaviour. It was the time of the internet, which I used in school. The first fanfictions and the beginning of my own fanart tries (I really should post some of my earlier art sometime for the LOLs). Buying tapes from ads in magazines with english episodes that haven't aired yet. (God, how much easier is the fannish life since broadband internet *g*) I had a few nostalgic memories when I threw out those tapes last week. But I thought that when I haven't watched them for over 4 years and everything is available elsewhere why should I waste the space. Still I had spent lots of money on them.
