i am in mexico my friends. yay internet cafe. so far we have traveled through a bunch of small towns that john wanted to check out and tomorrow evening we head back to tourist-central in cabo. today we went whale watching and it was AMAZING. the baby grey whales actually came right up to the boat to play and you could pet them, john even kissed one. the mother whales were ridiculoutly huge. there were also dolphins jumping around following the boat from place to place. it was unbelievable. tomorrow we are going swimming through the jungle to visit some painted caves before we head back to the hardcore spring break scene.

several interesting events have occurred...i'll see if i have time to give you the lowdown. i got a terrible allergy attack the second i got here but i have been telling it to fuck off and having fun anyway, although i have presently gone through 2 boxes of tissues and my skin around my nose is all dry :( the first night we stayed in teh city La Paz and went to this place for dinner where the guy mashes up the salsa right at the table. he even let john try. we also checked out a carnival and got some amazing churros. however, our hotel room, which was quite nice for $25, wound up being directly over a loud bar which played mariachi (spelling?) band music until 3am. i was not pleased, as i am a light sleeper. it didn't bother john at all though.

we then went to my new favorite town Loreto. it was a pretty little beach town. sadly it was VERY windy out so the beach was out of the question, but we wandered around and had a fabulous time. we stayed in a cabana owned by some american folks. we had dinner at the most ridiculous place...it was a hole in the wall and they 'lost' the menus so they had to tell us what they were serving. luckily john is practically fluent in spanish. however he is a huge liar and made me eat fish by telling me it was chicken. bastard. it tasted like chicken though. when we left the next day john warned me that the cabana was probably teh nicest place we'd stay for a few days and he wound up to be correct-a-mundo.

we rolled up into san ignacio yesterday and EVERYWHERE was booked solid. i really didn't want to camp because i was feeling sick so we stayed at the dirtiest placce ever and i was greatly displeased. i refused to shower. but i did sleep, with the help of drugs. john had to kill several insects before we could sleep, and all night we could hear mice or other rodent-like creatures running on the roof. also, the toilet would only flush like once an hour. slow turnaround. i made it through though and johnw as proud of me. i wouldn't even let my feet touch the floor though...haha. the whale trip made it SO worth it though, that was incredible. i mean we touched whales!! and we weren't even at sea world!! also i tried lobster and actually liked it. might even order it again sometime. woo seafood!! on the way out of town, we grabbed the liquor 'damiana' that san ignacio is famous for and you can only get in one store in the world right in their town square. it is described as a 'potent aphrodisiac.' haha score. hopefully it will also taste good. :)

we just rolled up into muliege and found a place to camp on teh beach. we went to unload the stuff and found that john accidentally bought me a 'juniors' sleeping bag at wal-mart that is only 5' long. hahahahaha. he's lucky i am so short. as i said earlier (i think) i'm going to see some painted caves tomorrow. then driving back to La Paz for the night and then on to cabo. yay. i'll update again sometime. and DLo, i'll call you from teh road sunday, you can give me diections to the house...expect me around 3-4 for an early dinner :)

heart you all, can't wait to see you!!
