What are the ten first words you think of when you think of (my) Blaise Zabini?
Any other associations? Anything, stories, music, colours, activities, time of year, whatever seems relevant. If you like, give me one of yours, and I'll do the same.ETA: actually, humour me and do this with one of your own characters on your own journal. I promise I'

...quite a few of those also are associations I have with Theo. I suppose that isn't surprising. Umm, other associations, hm hm. Panthers. Mangoes XD. The windowsill image. Winter, even though I know he abhors the cold. Gold Room by Siken. That ring he has on in the pic in your icon.
Songs, gosh, that list is long. Breath by Breaking Benjamin and It's Been Awhile by Staind are right up there, and not surprising, since you gave them to me as Blaise songs. My own associations are quirkier, and often related to a character's POV. Can't Stop by Maroon 5 (it happened to be playing when we were writing one of the Africa scenes in House on Fire verse, and it stuck in my head since), Lay Me Down by the Wreckers, Blue Caravan by Vienna Teng, Vertigo by Rachael Sage, Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson, What If You by Joshua Radin... ect ect, if I carry on much longer this comment will be ridiculous.
Mine is here.

by all means, if you think of anything else, add it. more is better.

I think his type being one is because that's just sort of how my brain shorthands Blaise. Word associations feel totally inadequate to me, because that's not really how I think of him- it's more a sort of a set of emotional/sense/image impressions that I don't think I could possibly articulate. ♥

You shorthand Blaise as 4? I think it's partly because I speak of him that way a lot. it's not inaccurate. I'm curious about the subtler associations, though.

I tend to shorthand most characters as types if I'm trying to consider them verbally (Theo is the exception; he's always just Theo). For someone as wordy in speech and writing as I am, I don't actually think in words much at all. (Possibly that's why I tend to have a more descriptive style- it's me essentially trying to articulate what in my head is predominantly imagery). I don't know. I don't think I could explain most of it... or not without more specific questions from you, at any rate.
