Well, at the moment, my answers will be basically me describing Cold-verse. I see I have infected your brain yet again.

longing. soft. connect. contact. heat. linger. pressure. align. fragile. intimacy. seeking. startle. yield. silence. breath. echoes. plea. explain. ask. answer. give. trust. wish. grace. fear. safe. intensity. fall. love. lost. tremble. hold. part. pain. catch. entwine.

You HAVE. I didn't think that premise would be so ridiculously captivating but by god, it is. I don't know why I never thought of it.

Yes, all of those.
I am pleased, if entirely unsurprised, that longing tops the list.

(I also think we may have inadverdently touched upon what it could potentially do to Blaise to have children. It's obviously not relevant for Cold, but I am intrigued by the implications.)

Eep, it's just. It forces it to be so character-driven, is why, I think. Physical stuff hides as much as it expresses, with them, or it seems that way at least; this lays them bare. It isn't comfortable, but it's much more real.

How could it not, all things considered?

(Did we? When?)

You're exactly right. That is part of the whole point of sex, for Blaise, it would have to be. That's why he always tops.

this lays them bare. It isn't comfortable, but it's much more real.
This is why it's so amazing. I know of very few situations that pushes Blaise into the corners, characterisation-wise. it' a challenge.

All things considered. Not that longing isn't actually a general keyword for Blaise, but at this point we're abusing the concept.

(incidentally. Children are the only other characters he relates to in a way that is not sexual at all.)

It's a challenge for me too.... really pushes my writing to not take the, well... almost "easy way out," I guess, and have Theo slide into sexual expression. It really forces me to write him so purely emotional, which means I have to really dig into exacty what he's feeling, and why, and find ways to describe it that arent, y'know. Lame.

...Only a little bit abusing. Er.

(Oh, well, yes, right. Obviously.)

Sexual expression is not just the easy way out, it's the default for Blaise. Also, you win.

Look, it's a Pun Trap. Eyes it.

(I might go that way in Q, evenually. Eventually.)

I'm well aware; I'm talking more in terms of Theo, who generally defaults to not expressing at all, and sexual expression secondarily. He usually avoids emotional expression like the plague (haha inadvertent Q reference), but this one necessarily has to rely on it.

Oh the Pun Trap. XDD

(Ohhh? My interest is piqued. *pokes you* Did you have someone particular in mind for this??)
