Friday!
I had to be reminded that today is Friday. That is just wrong!
Had a great day today! I took a baby to his mom's and she gets him for the whole weekend! Am so happy this is working out :) It is fabulous when you work so hard and you get a positive result cause in this job even if you work from dawn til dusk you dont always get a good result. Cause really, as I have heard it said 'you cannot work harder than the parent. If you are, you have a problem.' But this mom has worked her ass off. Not always done the right thing, but damnit has worked so hard. I am so happy :)
And then since I was all the way out there (long freakin' drive I tell you, and on my day off too!!) I went to see another client (cause for some reason they all seem to be moving out of town) and though it was much sadder, it went better that I thought, and she actually told me what she thought needed to happen and I gently told her that yes, I am going to have to do that. Not fun, and will be difficult, but at least she understands and wont be so angry it takes ages to work with me again. Again, I am working so hard with this one, and I still dont know if it is going to be a happy ending.
But I got home at 8pm (stopped at my parents for an early dinner for an hour or so) but didnt have lunch break or anything so had to -was starving! And my sister had made lasagna yum!
I did something I swore I wouldnt do...I gave the mom with the baby this weekend my work cell phone number in case of any emergency or something... It is my work phone and not my personal one, but still...I dont give it out to clients ever! But I want this to work so badly and last time we tried this there was an emergency which was a disaster and if she could have called me, I may have been able to stop it from becoming so. This time, I wont have that happen.
