Yes, it has been awhile! Mostly because I have been insanely busy. And it is all work related so not interesting to update on ;)
On Thursday I took the morning off so I could study as I had my interview for permanent float status (presently I am considered auxiliary float which basically means they could let me go at any time and or move me whenever they feel like it).
My parents have sold their house and have bought a new house outside Vancouver. I went and saw it last weekend and I quite like it. They have downsized as they dont need such a big house anymore, and they are closer to my sister who is going to need help with a wee baby soon.
I think I will be going with them for a month or so until I find out if I get this permanent status, cause then I will be able to qualify for a mortgage and can start to look for my own place! I'll find out in mid to late July if I got it...if not, it isnt really a huge deal, I will be rolled over to it by November...I just want it quicker so I can move back to Vancouver cause I am going to have one hell of a commute (I am going to have to leave the house by 6am and wont be able to come home til after 6pm due to traffic).
Anyway, things are okay. I am swamped at work, but that is unlikely to change. I still love the team I am on, and want to stay there. I really like my Team Leader too which make working this job much more bearable!
Have no real plans for the weekend (yeah long weekend!) but try to relax and not think of work which is really hard! Since I took yesterday off to study and then do the interview, I came back today to a huge swamp of things and was there til 7pm.
I think I need a real life. All I seem to do is work! lol
