Time's not really an issue for me. [Grins to himself.] Nice to meet you! Where should I go?

Deck 2 has the gym. 'm usually there.

Alright.

[Link pulls on his boots and jumps to his feet, ready. He's an energetic kid, and sitting around drives him insane. Finally, a little bit of action.

He walks into the gym a few minutes later and waves to the man as he went over. Oh, another long-eared Hylian. Er, non-human.

He looks kinda...old. And strong.]

I'm mostly a beginner, so go easy on me?

[Torn sizes up the kid as he walks in, taking from his little announcement there that this is the Link kid. He starts taking off his gauntlets.]

I plan to.

[He tosses one arm cover to the side and chases it with the other.]

Let's see whatcha can do, kid.

[Link pulls off his hat and his gloves and rolls up his sleeves, the mark on the back of his hand itching for some reason as he did. Weird.

Torn is taller than him, and punching too high would be a bad idea. So the fairy kid takes a step forward, punching at his abdomen in the meantime, not quite expecting it to hit but here goes anyway!]

[Torn side-steps the punch easily, and has to squash the instinct to grab his flying wrist and twist it around his back until it breaks.

And the fact he had to fight this...actually comforted him. Weird guy from a weirder place.

But he let Link follow through into thin air.]

[Link was pretty prepared for that, and kept his momentum, turning around to face himbefore he got too far and showed his back for too long.

Not missing a beat, he tries again, watching for when he moves this time.]

[This kid sure is eager. Torn had opened his mouth to point out his mistakes, but quickly snapped it back shut when he swung a second time.

Again, he moved in a similar fashion as before, testing to see if the boy would try and counter. How fast of a learner is he?]

You remind me of a Lizalfos...!

[Very fast. Link had made note of which way he dodged, how he set one foot back and then the other, the angle he leaned and kept his balance by raising his arms just a little. So when he sidestepped again, and in the same direction, Link placed his foot where he suspected Torn would move in an effort to trip his balance.]

[He had to admit, he was impressed. Sure enough, the kid got his foot, but by taking Link's wrist and with a little maneuvering, Torn was again standing steady and holding the teen with his arm behind his back and his own arm pinned to his shoulders.]

Arright, that'll do.

[He releases the kid, giving him a light push to get him back around and facing him sooner.]

Y'catch on quick, kid. And yer good at reading your opponents.
