Possessed Vending Machines
So... last week at work, we had the "pay-for-one-bottle-of-Diet-Coke-and-get-a-second-free" routine, closely followed by "pay-for-a-bottle-ofDiet-Coke-and-instead-get-Coke-plus-change-back" (though a woman in Legal got bottled water when she paid for a can of Diet Coke).
Wednesday as I was trying to get the machine to take my one of dollars, a woman stuck her head in and said, "We pushed Diet Coke and got Coke, water when we pushed Coke, and Diet Coke when we pushed Sprite." I thanked her, and tried to put in my $0.35 since the machine wasn't taking my crisp, new dollar. The change went right through. The display screen showed a $1 credit, and wouldn't take another dollar. So on a lark, I pushed the Sprite button. Not only did I get the Diet Coke as the passerby predicted, but I got $0.50 in change. FTW!
That's even better than Bonus Diet Coke! I am TOTALLY playing Lotto.
