[AnOTP] for Favrielle

Jul 11, 2010 11:10

What's this? Stark sat on the porch, one of his cigarrettes smoking away between his lips, as he flipped through a book. Reading? Him? Shock!

But still, he is reading and apparently it's even a book without pictures. Who knew? He's growing bored and restless again though and starting to think of ways to burn off energy.

"Oh. It's you again." You sounds very accusing between Favrielle's lips, though many words sound harsh and criticizing when leaving her mouth. "May I ask what are you reading?"

She's wearing a light dress that follows the cut of the Roman togues, clasped on the shoulders and flowing freely under her breasts. The color is pale yellow, a color that goes perfecty with Favrielle's fiery hair.

Stark leans back and looks at her, blowing a plume of smoke awaky from her out of habit. "Sorry to disappoint," he says with a snort. "And you may. I'm reading 'Loups-Garou' by ..." Here he glances at the cover. "K...Kyogoku." Yes, he butchered that name.

(real book. Good book.)

The title sounds somewhat familiar, or better said, the language does. Favrielle shrugs a shoulder. "Might be amusing," she decides. "You're quite a loner, am I right?"

"It's about a serial killer." He chuckles. "Life's less complicated when you're not constantly worrying about someone else." He wasn't always a loner, but she's dead and gone now...

Favrielle doesn't really know what a serial killer is, so she'll skip that part of the interaction for now. "-- I see. But I'm not worrying - only seldom, and for very few people. Yet I am not a loner either. I don't really know. Usually I'm too busy to analyze myself or my acts."

"Sometimes being too busy means you don't pay enough attention to the folks around you," he points out.

"I probably don't," she shrugs. "I see only the way they dress, and the way I would dress them, betimes. There are very few people worthy of more in my life -- or they were."

He chuckles. "Then you probably hate me." Stark, of the ratty jeans and old, stained and torn t-shirts.

His boots are nice though, if scuffed.

"Hatred is a strong emotion, just like love. I couldn't feel it for someone I barely know, don't you think?" She does analyze him now, though, frowning just a bit. "It's nothing that can't be improved - though something tells me you wouldn't want it improved."

"I'm really hard on clothes sweetheart," he says with a smirk. "Not that I don't want to look good, but it's a waste of time and effort to in my case."

"I could always help if you're up for it," she replies thoughtfully, her eyes searching his. "Though, if I know my eyes' worth, you'd look better without any," she adds shamelessly; she's D'Angeline.

He smirk's. "I've got to admit... nobody's ever said that to me before. At least, not lately." You know, after the scars.

You're talking to a scarred woman, Stark. A scarred woman is generally less appreciated than a scarred man. Favrielle curls her lips in a smile at her turn - and now the scar? It's more visible. "They must have been blind - or not D'Angeline. Many of us claim we're the only ones who can really appreciate beauty, under all its forms."

He knows he's talking to a scarred woman. And she's hot. Very, very hot.

"I don't think I've ever been called beautiful." He considers her. "But you get that all the time don't you?"

"I beg your pardon?" She looks around to find something to lean on, and she does so: sometimes, shelves are good for other things than supporting books, too. "Get what? That I'm beautiful?" Favrielle can't surpress a laughter. "Do you see this?" She touches her scar, lightly. "I got it because someone plotted against me - before it happened, I was indeed called beautiful. Not anymore."

"That little thing? Yeah right. At the worst it brings attention to your mouth and that's gorgeous too. I don't even have any good features to draw attention to with mine." He chuckles and steps up closer, almost a challenge.

"Even before the scars I was an ugly son of a bitch."
