World Enough and Time
Crikey! Look at all the dust in this place. I think I need to air out the place.
It's been a while since I last updated, so how are things.
Well the highlight of the past six months was my much put back and delayed return to the US of A. It is a trip I had been pseudo-planning for.... well nearly 20 years, with different itineraries and plans forming over the years, some of which I suspect I kept delaying as they were but a pipe dream.
So my actually return was divded into two parts, a trip to New York City, and a return trip to the Windy City. I did New York first, with my number 1 goal being go to Birdland, the legendary Jazz Club named after the late great Charlie Parker. Chicago was to finally meet a long term web friend in person, the chap who on here goes by the handle Lemmy. Both parts of the trip were highly enjoyable, and a travel diary will be appearing.
On a sadder note, at 10:40am 10th February my Nan passed away. We were all at her bedside at the end, and she didn't suffer. She was 98 years old.
