Whenever I find myself feeling overwhelmed by the size of my ambitions, frustrated with obstacles that are thrown in my way, I remember that shot of Nik Wallenda crossing a tightrope across the Niagara Falls--a silhouette in the moonlight, one foot in front of the other, completely stoic in the midst of gushing, crashing, practically drowning water--all the while talking calmly with a smile on his face about how he had dreamed of this moment for his entire life, and how he had been told over and over again that it would never happen. With every single step he proved them wrong. Thank you, Mr. Wallenda, for giving us such a powerful image of hope for when the waters get rough.
