a) I've been a fan of Trader Joe's since it was only in California. One of my stops when I was out there would always be TJ for a couple of the half-kilo dark chocolate bars. Welcome at any party! They seem to b e a statistical outlier for having kept their character while expanding radically. No, it's not quite the same, but a lot closer than most mushrooms manage.
b) My own greatest lost chocolate heartbreak is the discontinuation, 15 or more years ago now, of Droste Bittersweet Chocolate Liqueur. It actually was bittersweet, where chocolate liqueurs are usually intolerably syrupy.

But obviously you found it in Paris.
Presumably other things, as well. :-)
When did you go to Paris? (This might help the story make more sense to me.)
