I want to try to make this cake for Zoe's birthday (November 8th):
(This is from www.womansday.com, silly cakes.) Zoe LOVES cats. (Which makes her completely unique among toddlers, yes, I know.) I've never done any kind of fancy cake before, so....I don't know if I can pull it off, but I think I'll try. The recipe calls for pound cake, but....I wonder if I absolutely have to use the kind of cake they suggest?
Last year I didn't do much at all....chocolate cupcakes, nothing fancy, and a small party with mostly our friends. But it came not that long after the huge baptism party in July, so I didn't mind much. This year, though, she's old enough to appreciate it more and I want to try a bit harder.
