30 Day Music Meme
Day 7: One band/singer you're ashamed to admit you like.
I'm really not ashamed about anything I like, although I know a bunch of people who think I should be... I get a lot of flack from my friends for liking such a wide variety of stuff. Many of my friends think I shouldn't like mainstream rock like Linkin Park, but I do. Some other friends think I shouldn't like Kylie Minogue, but I do (oh wait, there's another female singer I like!). Still others think that The Pretty Reckless are crap (ok, maybe there isn't much talent there, but I still enjoy listening to the music!). But honestly, I'm not ashamed of any of it.
Dare I say I can't provide you with a video today? Well, let's not go THAT far... I have two songs that are totally silly songs, but I love them, and I'm proud to say I love them:
Rubber Biscuit! I try and sing along to this, but for some reason I will never sound as cool as Akroyd.
Secondly: The Soggy Bottom Boys! I didn't enjoy this movie much (booooooring!) but this song is definitely a great one to crank while driving through the countryside. In fact, this song turned me onto bluegrass as a genre, and I've discovered some REALLY great tunes and bands as a result. SO I guess this stupid movie had a purpose in my life after all.
