Here's some real news:
I've decided to apply for grad school. Peregrine convinced me it would be a good idea to at least apply now, and then defer entrance a year if I later decide I still want time to do more fieldwork. So I'm going to apply to schools that offer a Master's degree in Museum Studies...but there's only four so that narrows things down a bit. Columbia, University of Tulsa, University of Arizona, and University of Colorado Boulder. At this point all four are very different, yet equally compelling. I can't believe I'm applying for grad school. WTF
I told Peregrine I was freaked out by all the decisions I have to make in the next few months. His response was, "Well think of it this way: you could be married to a soldier, living in a cabin in the woods and making lots of babies. Doesn't that sound nice?" I said, no actually none of that sounds appealing at all... and he said, "Well that's what you would have been doing 60 years ago! You have choices! choices are good!" That man is nuts. He better get me into some awesome gradschool program.
