Title: American Cultural Parameters (2/2)
Pairing/Character: Clint/Natasha, The Avengers
Word Count: approx. 2000
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Now we get Clint's POV. Why is his partner acting so strange? Not for any reason he expected. As a note, I don't write lemons, but this is pretty intense. You've been warned! Thank you again for reading. :-)

THAT. WAS. FANTASTIC.

The whole, wait she just said she loved me why are we still talking made me laugh out loud. My cat is staring at me like I'm a crazy woman.

Thank you.

Perfect.

My dog gives me quite the dirty look when I break out in laughter at something. (Like Renner telling the story of the "camping" on the plane - she may even have growled at me!) LOL Thank you so much and here's to our pets who put up with us! :D

This was perfect. I loved when Clint wondered why the hell they were still talking instead of making out. That was my question exactly. You have a gorgeous woman like that confess her undying love, you don't do anymore talking, lol. Really cool story!

Thank you so much! And yeah, I figured it would take Clint a second to clear the cobwebs, then he'd get busy. :D I'm so glad you liked it!

That was awesome. Poor confused Clint was too much fun watch as he sorted out what she was saying. Now this would make a romance movie worth watching.

I am highly amused by Natasha being all 'I happen to other people!' because yep, she really does :D I like how she turns to American pop culture and the film industry to try and sort out not necessarily what she's feeling but what she's feeling in the context of how Clint would view these kinds of feelings. That says it all really, that she's focussed on him, and film being such a mainstay of identity these days, nice that being woven in. Confused!Clint followed by why-are-we-still-talking Clint made me grin a lot, and Natasha being all straight-forward, just coming out with it, rather than what seductive attempts I can imagine her using with her marks, so them and awww. And Mr and Mrs Smith is their happy ending, haha. Good stuff :D

Thank you SO much! What wonderful, detailed feedback - I can't tell you how much it means to me. By the way, I think we should be friends. :-) If you're okay with that. :D

*twirls you* I think there comes a point where when I've nattered at someone for so long that really I should friend them so that they have something to show for it *grins*. By which I mean, friending is okay ;) :D

I like that Clint feels kind of abandoned by her in the beginning but appreciates her finer tastes. Meanwhile I can kind of see Natasha's brain working: spring for a nicer place, be pampered, be straightforward, see what happens. It's almost romantic. :P
