freakin' life

So...first day of (new) classes. Here's my (hopefully not too monotonous) run-down:

Archaeology (yay, I can finally spell it): Looks cool. Lots of slides, which means I will basically be studying online, but as far as work-load? A midterm, a final, and a 5-10 page creative paper (create a ficticious dig and record your results). I think this will work quite nicely.

Social Psych: So I walk into the class, which is held in one of the major lecture halls. As in, so freaking huge that the seats are basically arranged vertically and you have to crane your head up to see the top. And people just POUR in. Like, I'd say at least 3/4 of the hall was filled. And this is the class I was wait-listed for, this is the class that is (technically) capped at 120 people.

So the very 1st thing the prof says (besides hello), is "How many people aren't techincally in this class?"

I kid you not when I say practically the entire room raised their hands. And all of us were thinking the same thing: "CRAP."

Of course the next thing he says is "Well, I guess if you all can fit you're all in."

Everyone in the room: "THANK GOD"

He let us out 20min early just so he could sign everyone's Class Add form.

Introduction to Fiction and Poetry (aka IFP) II: Same as last semester. Different prof, same classroom, some of the same faces. Looks to be cool, then again how could creative writing ever be NOT cool?

We shall see how Dinosaurs goes tomorrow...
