A Declaration!
Please, if you have ever read any of my entries, then definitely read this one. And if you've never read any of my entries, then start now.
I've finally decided what I want to do with this little ol' Live Journal of mine. From here on out, it's all about the Jesus, baby! Erm, forgive me. Lately, the Lord has just been such a huge part of my life and it's amazing. We at our church have taken a two week sabatical. We've just closed down all extra church activities to get together and worship the Lord, and it's been the best time of my life. I mean, sure, I've had some great times, but, man, just being there in His name, His presence, singing praise and worshipping Him...it just blows me away. Normally, I don't get into the whole emotional part of it too much, but this is so much more than that. It's all about Him, and most people won't let it go that far. "Oh, but I..." There's always some excuse. Everybody is always looking for an excuse to put another focus at the center of their life. I know, I've been at that point. But, with the Lord as your center, it's so much more fullfilling. Who else loves you as much as He? Who gave up everything for your sake? Who took a severe beating, suffered from hemotridosis (sweat blood), and then died upon the cross? Who has loved you before you were even born? Who loves you inspite of the miserable bastard or bastardette you are? Pardon my vulgarity, but none of us are worth the dirt on our own shoes. But He loves us anyways. In His eyes, if we love Him and know Him, we are as saints. All of us. Not just Peter, or Paul, or Mary, but all of us. Remember when Jesus was teaching and somebody came out and said, "Jesus, your mother and brothers are waiting for you." Jesus was swift to reply that the people there with Him are His mother and brothers. What an amazing love! Truly, how great is our God! Then some people have the audacity to question His very existance! Imagine if you gave your life for somebody and then they go on as if you were never born. How would you cope with that? Not as He. For He is so much more than we are. His mercy is great. I'll leave you with lyrics of a song I sang earlier, because it is soaring high on my heart, and may it be so on yours as well.
