Well it's been a while since I last updated...of course, when isn't that the case? Things have been going fairly well, at least I'm trying to view it that way. I don't want to look back on my life and see only the bad things that happened, I want to look back and see all the good things that happened...and what I learned from the hard times.
Work is going well. I've learned a lot, and my co-workers have been very patient with me. I'm getting very comfortable with my co-workers as well...I can joke around with them and I really enjoy going into work, except for when I have to work at 8 a.m. lol. The only thing I would change is that I'd rather be full time instead of part time...but one step at a time. If I could find a way to get some extra money by doing computer work, that would great...but I don't know how I'd go about getting that started. I'd love to get my own apartment as well, but I haven't started paying my student loans yet, so I don't know exactly how much I'll have left of my paycheck to be able to pay rent....even if I did manage to find a roommate, or two, or three. lol.
I've made several new friends over the past couple months...rekindled a couple of friendships, as well as lost one or two friendships. Losing friends is always hard, but I will make it through. It kinda happened suddenly. I'm not going to place the blame on any one, but it's still a hard thing to go through. If any of you truly know me, you know how much my friends mean to me. I would do anything for them, and it hurts me so much to see a friendship lost, for whatever reason. Friendships come and go...that's inevitable...bu I don't think it'll get any easier.
I'm hoping to get out more. Not just to see my friends more often (which is always a good thing), but to just experience the community here. I mean, there's a large state college 15 minutes from my house. I went to see a play my friend Leah was directing the other day, and then after that I went to see a couple of the WMU choirs perform...it was so much fun! Plus a month or so ago I went and saw Ragtime at the Kalamazoo Civic Theater. I forgot how much talent there is right here in Kalamazoo. I love the arts and I just want to experience the various events that are going on right here in my community. It makes me look forward to December 1st when the WMU Choral Christmas program takes place.
