Appearance: Concerning her appearance, Nunnally is a very attractive girl: an expressive, innocent face; a small body; and incredibly long, thick chestnut hair. However, what people are more likely to notice is how she cannot walk: due to old bullet wounds, Nunnally is confined to a wheelchair. And in the rare moments when she does open her eyes, people notice the rich color of her irises: wisteria purple, almost, and not unlike her brother's eyes. However, her eyes do not see anything, and her blindness is another thing that holds her back from doing what she might want to do.
Nunnally typically dresses conservatively in dresses and pleated skirts, paired with long socks and mary-janes. Her blouses are usually long-sleeved, and it is rare to see Nunnally wearing pants, if ever. Unlike her brother, she prefers lighter colors like red, cream, and pink.
Personality: Nunnally is by no means shy, but she is a quiet and soft-spoken person. What keeps her from being shy is her confidence in herself, which prevents her from feeling sorry for herself or anything that might hold her back from doing what she needs to do. Her mild mannerisms and formal way of speaking may also contribute to the false assumption that she is shy. If anything, Nunnally is simply well-contained in her emotions, gentle, and polite. Nunnally does not usually hold back from saying what is on her mind, though she knows how to phrase so it is neither biting nor offensive.
Nunnally's greatest wish is for Lelouch to be happy, and since his own desire is tied into her own happiness, Nunnally is often seen smiling. She is cheerful without being overbearing or energetic. She enjoys chess, walks, and practicing her piano.
History: Nunnally was born in a well-respected family. To her, the most important were her mother and Lelouch, her twin. Lelouch was the very reason for Nunnally's existance, if only because her world and activities seemed to circle around him. Nunnally was always protected, sheltered, and prevented from seeing anything bad. She grew up with her childhood friend, Euphemia and Lelouch, laughing and playing and being happy.
Until the very day she was seven, and something went horribly wrong.
It had been an accident, true: their father, though by no means affectionate, had brought Nunnally to one of his political addresses, and there had been an assassination attempt. Not on Nunnally's father, but a close associate of his who was rumoured to be involved in some underhanded dealings. It was unfortunate Nunnally had to be near-by the target: it was even more unfortunate that the spray of bullets caught Nunnally's legs, severing several important tendons, as well as collapsing the dead body on top of her. The emotional trauma left her blinded, a psychological defense to keep her from seeing what was happening.
Not only that, but Nunnally and Lelouch's mother Marianne was also caught in the shooting and died of blood loss shortly after arriving on the scene. Nunnally not only lost her sight and movement, but her mother as well.
After that, Nunnally grew up as well as she could, never speaking of the experience again and continuing to be coddled by her twin brother Lelouch. Her father shipped the two of them to Japan, where Nunnally met Suzaku. Nunnally lived there peacefully until high school, until she was shipped off to a British boarding school, where she graduated separate from Lelouch--one of the most painful experiences in her life.
She had been intending on attending Evergrove for quite some time, but a few medical problems slowed her acceptance down until she could join her brother at school.

Euphemia li Britannia: Nunnally's childhood friend. While Lelouch clung to Suzaku, Nunnally was often closer with Euphie--the two often got into spats about who would marry Lelouch, play house together, and other girly past-times. Growing up, Nunnally looked up to Euphie as someone she would like to be when she grew up, and she kept the memory of Euphie very near to her heart even when they lost contact.

Lelouch Lamperouge: Overprotective twin brother. Since Lelouch is older by a few minutes, he has taken it upon himself to protect Nunnally at all costs. Nunnally loves Lelouch more than anything and he is arguably the most important person in her life. There is no one who Nunnally feels more comfortable with; he will always be her first love, in that no one will ever take the place of being her beloved brother.

Suzaku Kururugi: Nunnally's childhood friend. Nunnally was close with Suzaku when they were little, even if he was more of Lelouch's friend. He takes a brotherly role in her like, though he is not as protective as Lelouch. It can be said that Nunnally nurses a safe, small crush on Suzaku; she measures all men against him, and so far, none have really met the goal. She considers him more family than romantic interest though.
