Myra tracks down a fugitive during the stake-out only to have him run into the hands of the local police. She's rather happy to leave him in their hands, rather than trying to find a way to pass him off to them. Otherwise, The Shadow's efforts are fruitful and effective. The FBI is a powerful machine and the NYPD are equally impressive in their effectiveness at capturing suspects and taking care of the situation. Her two assigned agents are certainly capable in their vigilance through the past couple nights, and during the drug bust, but they are left without action by night's end.

She stays with the agents during the final sweep of the block, impressed and pleased at how difficult she finds it to keep the three of them from being discovered. Once the dragnet has disbanded, they go their separate ways. Returning to the secondary apartment Myra logs a call to Burbank and reports her "all's well". She decides to take a night's rest before reporting to The Chief early in the morning. It will feel good to go home for a while after spending so much time in the Old Tiger's world.
