Over the intercom, Lisa's voice rang out merrily to the whole of the Sanctuary. She called a small group of patients to the nurses station, a bag filled of more brown paper packages, some tied in string, some sealed with that new adhesive tape, but all with letters attached. Again, she expected this group of patients to receive their mail with the same apprehension as the previous ones, and prepared accordingly. The mail got here so slowly due to how remote and secret the facility was, but the fact that the mailman tried his hardest to come by at least once a month was something she, and the rest of the staff, greatly appreciated.
She waited with the bag at her feet for the patients to arrive, her smile still at its usual level of brightness. She hoped they all had wonderful letters this time. She still felt bad for the Icelander whose letter seemed to be terrible, but as she couldn't read its contents, she could only speculate upon what might have been in it. Surely everyone's letters this time won't be so miserable. And thus, she waited.
