It was mid afternoon when five specific patients had been called over the intercom to come to the waiting room by the doctor's offices. It was the same place they had been gathered in for their individual therapy sessions but this time a much smaller number of patients had been gathered.

When he was ready for each patient Dr. Imenand would call them in; he preferred to do work himself rather than rely on nurses and he was hoping that he wouldn't encounter too much trouble from these patients. Though Ira had already voiced his preference in referring to the patients by their numbers he of course realized that they might not all remember which numbers they had been assigned in the filing system and thus was forced to use actual names when calling them. Not that he'd make any effort in remembering those names...

The office that Ira had requested was of modest size - he didn't need anything more for his short monthly visits to the Sanctuary. However, in his short time there he had made a few homey touches. The room, though small, was well lit. He hadn't replaced the hospital blinds but he chose to keep them wide open to allow the sun to pour in and illuminate the room, feeling the natural light gave a cheerier atmosphere than the humming glow of the electric ceiling lamps. On the desk he'd put a picture frame of a woman, quite pretty looking with light skin and soft blue eyes. Her chestnut brown hair was pulled up into a tight bun and her smile was accentuated with dimples. On the walls he'd hung different medical charts; diagrams of the brain, inner ear, heart, and a periodic table of the elements. An Egyptian throw rug was situated on the floor beneath the comfy chairs that he had insisted on instead of that silly looking couch the psychiatrists used. He didn't want people lounging about in his office while he was trying to ask them questions after all!

Overall Ira's demeanor was cheerful, almost excited. He had dedicated himself to the company he worked for after all and was intrigued to hear about the various reactions that their new drug Halludrin-75D had brought about in these patients. He'd read just a little about the condition that the patients at the Sanctuary had been diagnosed with and found it interesting, but more importantly was how those with this disease interacted with the medication. Having sorted out the files of those patients he was going to be talking with Ira stood and moved to call in the first one.
