"A regular human... not as much to worry about, not having to stay at a certain someone's house..." A faint tinge of wistfulness crept into the blonde's voice as he thought out loud. There was a lot to be gained if they were normal people, but so much to lose. Sure it was hard feeling what many people suffered plus any injuries sustained to the land but having such a connection was... special.

On the other hand not having to worry... and for Latvia that was certainly a great benefit.

"It would be interesting to see what that would be like." Estonia smiled. "No one's told me about a family yet, but I haven't been here as long as you." Reaching out to clasp his younger brother's shoulder, half to reassure the other country, half because he truly has missed his sibling. There was a comfort in the casual touch - of family.

"Want to sit down and talk more about it? I would like to hear more if, well... if you don't mind" Using his other hand to gesture out into the common area of the library, the green eyed nation hoped for a chair. As much as he loved books he had been walking a lot this morning, and he wasn't about to go anywhere for awhile now. Catching up was the higher priority than continuing to poke around the strange facility he was in now.

The boy-like nation nodded, blue-purple eyes seeking out someplace where they could sit and be comfortable in one another's company. It was not too long ago when the pair of them had fought beside each other for independence. They both had hoped freedom would have lasted longer, but it wasn’t meant to be. God turned His back to him again after spending 20 years looking favorably upon him and his comrades. The Baltic States were a meaningless and useless part of His design, Latvia thought sometimes, though he still found comfort in the knowledge that despite being weak, God still loved both him and his people and that He would welcome them graciously into His arms when their time ended, no matter what name his people were called by that point, no matter if Latvia had succumbed to the promise of a human life; God loved His children, no matter what their transgressions, as long as those children repented for their sins. Hopefully, God would forgive Latvia’s wavering mind, as well.

Thankfully, the library had a nice area where a long table, accented by comfortable-looking chairs, was held. He placed the book that nearly killed him on the table, taking up a seat. "I'm sure they have a-a human family all p-picked out for you, too," he said slowly, fingers tracing the gilded lettering upon the hardcover book. And memories to make them seem so real and genuine, he thought darkly. He didn't know how he would feel knowing that Estonia would be experiencing much the same torment that he had. Estonia was so much stronger than him, though, so he would probably not fall so easily into this trap. Or so he hoped.
