Previously on Caprica: Thomas Vergis was a meaniepants, Amanda is actually crazy (though I totally think Vergis is putting things to make her more crazy), Joseph is in New Cap City trying to find Tammy, Zoe doesn't trust her dad, Daniel KNOWS. DANIEL KNOWS YOU GUYS. They replay the last few moments of that creepy scene at the end of the last week.
Now on Caprica: Joseph is still on his holoband, yo. Wonder what poor bb Willie's doing now :/
New Cap City: he's bitching about his gangster outfit to the chick who's showing him around. She gives him the New Cap City version of steroids to help his reflexes and make him live up to the gangster outfit. He's unwilling, but she dazzles him with the usual "don't die" schpeel.
Daniel with Zoebot. He apparently shut her down to examine her... and he says he's convinced she's in there and she can talk to him. It's slightly heartbreaking when he asks her to give him a sign. He knows it's not that she can't talk to him... but she won't. He's fairly sweet, trying to be understanding, and she doesn't even look at him. "Look at me, please?" he asks, but she only does it when he addresses her as U87. OUCH.
Daniel's got a plan, and it doesn't look good. He has that mad glint in his eyes. "This might be hard on you, but it's going to be all for the best," he tells her. CREEPY.

New Cap City: Joseph is being told not to die, again. Emanuelle has amazing pvc boots of dominatrixy awesome. She tells him that the amp she gave him is addictive, unlike the holobands. He asks that's the rules of the game, and she's all "pfft like there's a rulebook in life." She gives him a gun, and he makes more dad-style jokes. She bitches some more, tells him that she doesn't look like that in real life. (Damn.)
A lonely bridge, outside of the city. Amanda's gone to visit the accident site, and it's misty and full of trees just like in the picture. She touches one, a quick flashback to a car out of control, and then recoils slightly. A car drives past, and she sees that face again.
Daniel's lab. He's making Zoebot arm and disarm a gun over and over while he talks to her. He talks about how Zoe hated him smoking, and how she hated anything to do with fire since their home burned down. Zoe watches him from the corner of her eye as she arms and disarms over and over. He keeps on talking, getting a cigarette out, describing the house they had. How Zoe had her "first big girl room"... how she was upstairs and trapped while this wooden house caught on fire and she was only five years old.

her actions become a little more forced, and she's trying so hard not to be affected by what he says. He keeps talking, picks up a lighter. It doesn't work, so he finds a match. He lights the cigarette, tries to mess with her head to make her reveal herself. He doesn't blow out the match, waves the flame around and then it burns his fingers and he reacts. She reacts too. "Well," he says, "Look at that." kdjghsdkfgjsbdgjsd creepy.
V world: Zoe tells Lacy about the crazy orders that Daniel's been giving her. She's stressed out, Lacy doesn't quite understand. She is, however, the ultimate best friend and listens patiently. Zoe says she just wanted to reach out and snap him, and then she realises that Daniel wants her to show herself. Oh my. Lacy asks why she's still hiding and Zoe is adamant that her dad would use her again. ;_; Zoe says she has to dehumanise herself, be the robot.
New Cap City: Joseph's neverending "don't die" parade. He finds his home! Only... it's not his home. He kinda hoped that Tammy would be there, but instead some guy is. he starts trying to question him, Emanuelle is all gung-ho and awesome. Joe gets the line of "I'm Joseph Adama, who the frak are you?" I kinda love him. He's using his Tauron gangster training in interrogating this guy haha. He shows him a picture of Tammy, this guy is a skeeve. "She's my daughter you motherfrakker." LOVE IT. He identifies her as the dead girl, and apparently everyone thinks she's a new part of the programme. He tells Joe that she's at a club... and then other people are there.
new gangster guy on the scene says that the dead girl can't be his daughter. He's creepy. Joe tells him to watch his mouth when talking about his daughter. New guy is about to kill Joe, and Emanuelle swoops in and shoots them all. Joe is still useless with a gun :/ Emanuelle got shot but it was only a graze, she can remain in the game. She tells Joseph to gtfo. He goes "but but my daughter!" and she bitches some more before going for the Tauron jab.
Amanda's on the phone to Clarice, and Clarice is trying to reassure her. She says that maybe this is all about Zoe. She asks about the avatar that Daniel mentioned on TV, and Amanda says she asked to see it. (this was in a deleted scene that is on syfy.com, actually.) Clarice makes her apologises, there's a group marriage family barbeque. Amanda is still stressed out.
Outside. Daniel's talking to Zoebot, saying what a beautiful day it is. He compares her reaction earlier to giving away her hand in cards. He's wound up. She's silent and tearful. "So why are we still playing this game?" he asks her, stepping in closer. He tells her that he kept his end of the bargain, he brought her into the real world. "But maybe you can't handle that. However brilliant you may be. Maybe, deep down inside you're just the same scared little girl that you always were." We then go into the sneak peek scene. He pleads with her, she's giving nothing. He tells her that everyone has to make choices, and they're hard and sometimes wrong and life is hard... but "you keep moving on." He's tearful, so is she, and he tells her that he still loves her. She doesn't do a thing.
then ksjdhfbskdjfsahbd WHAT THE FRAK DANIEL. He grabs a can of FUCKING PETROL and says he knows the robot won't freak. He makes a circle around her with it. He orders the U87 to stay, but tells Zoe that if she walks forwards he'll know it's her. He sets fire to it.
Zoe's terrified, trying so hard to keep hold of herself and not show. The thing she's scared of the most and her dad just put her into it. The fire dies down and she hasn't moved. Daniel walks away, Zoe watches him. She's scared and furious and then even more determined than ever.
Joseph in the real world: all covered in stubble! Sam comes in, because he doesn't knock any more. Joe is looking at stuff of Tammy's because he's never going to get closure if he doesn't let himself. Sam tells him off, tells him that they paid the ferryman. Joe asks Sam what goes through his head when he kills someone. Sam very astutely asks what the frak kind of question that is. Joe tells him to forget it. Sam is silent, but then he speaks again. "Tell yourself it's not real." he tells his brother. "Then they're not people shooting at you, they're targets. The whole thing becomes just a game"
Anyone else think that Sam Adama would beat New Cap City? Anyone?
New Cap City: Emanuelle is looking hot. She's found the club the guy in the house mentioned, and it's a burlesque place apparently which figures in New Cap City. Joe approaches her in his gangster garb. Emanuelle bitches again, tells Joe to follow her lead. They enter. It's dark and bright at the same time, all neon lights and black suits. They check their guns hhahaa wtf. Enter the club, there's women on poles and a guy announcing the riddles and the crazy game. Joe is picked, predictably. Emanuelle just watches. People chant for him, "Stranger, stranger." He makes his lame Joe Adama excuses and asks about Tammy. The host rips up Joe's photo which causes him to freak out a little. The host tells him to answer the riddle, and Joe asks why should he. Guns are pointed at him, and he has to answer. The host announces the riddle.. and Joe is silent. People urge him to answer. It's all about sins and the gods. Everyone's bored, Joe freaks out a little and he's taken away by the men with guns still screaming his daughter's name. He's thrown out, but he's still alive. By the gun check, he sees the flower. The Tamara flower. Joe identifies it immediately, asks the gun check guy and he knows nothing. He tells his companion. He takes more amps and shoots the gun check guy. The two of them run back to the club, looking badass and awesome and shooting up everyone ever. He tells them all to de-res or he'll shoot them.
The host sings. Joseph shouts at him, losing it until he tells him something. The host tells him that Tammy was there, and she got the riddle wrong and was killed. Since then the place has drawn a crowd. The host is creepy. Joe points his gun at the host but doesn't shoot. Eventually he leaves with Emanuelle. The host sniffs a flower as they leave.
On the walls outside he seems more of the T with the flower. Marked on all the walls for further than the eye can see. "Sounds like your daughter has found a home," Emanuelle tells him. "Maybe it's time you went back to yours." Joseph does that, regret on his face.
Amanda's at home, looking at photographs of her and her brother. Serge appears! Says that Vergis is there. (was I right????) Vergis was asking after her, not Daniel. Amanda agrees to see him UH OH. He enters, and greets her. "Are you familiar with Tauron customs?" he asks her, and she says that she saw the gloves. dfiughbsofdjgbsd AMANDA NO KEEP AWAY. He tells her that the gloves are for his colleagues who were murdered in the theft.
In the lab. Daniel is exhausted. Caesar is panting happily at Zoe. "Well, look at that," Daniel tells her. "Caesar really likes you." Zoe is unimpressed. DANIEL HAS A GUN WHAT THE FUCK. He holds it up, says there's one more test. Zoe's eyes widen in fear. HE IS GOING TO KILL CAESAR WTF NOOOO ;_;
"Are you trying to say that my husband stole your MCP and murdered those people?" Amanda is asking Vergis in horror. He says no, not personally. Vergis asks if she even knows her husband, Amanda tells him to get out. STOP THIS CAESAR MIGHT DIE THIS IS NOT GOOD OKAY. He leaves.
DANIEL GIVES ZOEBOT THE GUN AND TELLS HER TO SHOOT CAESAR DIJFGSDLIFGS NOOOO THIS IS SO UNFAIR. NO NO NO NO NO. NO ZOE NO THIS IS TOO UNFAIR ;_; He starts to count to five, and Caesar's cute happy face looks up at her.

He tells the U87 to shut itself down. And that is more telling than anything else. She might be there, she might not. But Daniel doesn't want it to be her if she can do that.
Night at the Graystones. Daniel calls out for Amanda. No answer. He finds a bottle, sits down on the sofa with it. And now he's watching those home videos of Zoe, mirroring what Amanda did earlier on in the series. Amanda's sitting outside, watching the images of thei daughter through the window.
In the lab. Zoebot isn't shut down like he asks. She's connecting to the virtual world again, talking to Lacy and telling him. "The funny thing is, as soon as I picked up the gun.. I knew." SHE KNEW IT WAS BLANKS. PHEW FUCK OKAY. She says that if she'd known they hadn't been blanks she might have pointed them at Daniel D: She tells Lacy to get her out of there before she does something she'll regret.
And with that we end this week. That messed with my head, okay. I'm equal parts traumatised and terrified and Zoe scared the shite out of me. Chills, I'm telling you. CHILLS. The creeped out kind especially.ilu Alessandra, you are amazing in this part.
