feeling blue
Playing a drabble challenge with a friend of mine and I thought I should post them here. Challenge 1 was written with the fandom in mind (kinda), the second one wasn't. I guess I am not at a very happy place in my life.

Heartbreak was inevitable but not unexpected. I smiled, we hugged and it was over. He wanted to remain friends and I agreed, knowing that I was lying. It hurt too much.
The next time we met, it was at a pretentious black tie affair that I would have never expect him to attend. He looked good, great actually. The years had been much kinder to him than they had been to me. Life truly was unfair.
He smiled and my heart raced exactly the way it had when I had first seen him.
I must be a sucker for punishment.

He was dressed to kill.
Pleated pants, cashmere jacket over a crisp white shirt and a turquoise silver tie that accentuated his baby blue eyes. He sprayed the expensive cologne sparingly then scrutinized his reflection and smiled.
"Not bad"
The wait was the hardest part. He checked the score on his phone only to give up in disgust seeing the lions getting royally fucked by the redskins. A loud, shrill, whistle broke the silence of the deserted platform.
In the end, all he saw was the bright white light at the end of the tunnel right before darkness engulfed him.
