my summer thus far
i got back from grand bend on saturday- was gone for a week. it was a nice vacation. basically i sat at the beach and read, day after day, 5 days straight. i got a decent tan, and reeled in some good family time. we took abby with us and she really loved the beach, so it was a good time :)
basically i've been working and hanging out all summer. everyone's pretty busy so when the gang gets together, it's great fun :) kt's birthday is thursday and rob's is next fri, so i'm going to need to fandangle some more time off work to celebrate those. fingers crossed!
this week i'm staying at neil's because his mom (who he lives with when he's not living at my apt ;) is in utah or something like that, so i have the apt to myself today since he's at work. i've been doing school stuff, and trying to organize my life a little bit, which is kind of hard to do when you don't really know what to do. i haven't registered for fall yet, and i just found out today that i can't even register until aug 17, so bah, no rush. i've put a temporary hold on the idea of completeting my undergrad (hopefully in the spring, god knows it's taken fucking forever), and going back for a "Post-Master’s School Counseling Specialization which leads to an OU recommendation for the School Counselor License", without needing a teacher's degree, and it only takes a year. i figure that i need to go to grad school to do anything with my degree (psych), so why not do counseling? i'm not sure, i just decided today, so we'll see. maybe i'll just wait for neil to rake in the dough and mooch off him and say "fuck a career" ;) haha, just kidding. our one year is next month!!! i'm thinking of ideas now, so it's sure to be a good time. it's always a good time with him. he's very, very amazing :) we're going white water rafting in virginia labor day weekend (that's if i can get it off work) with like 38 other people, so i'm looking forward to that. i've heard all about it, rafting for like 8 hours and then being drunk the rest of the days we are there- "95% of the time", so yeah... hehe. hmm... it's sure to be a good time with the people we are going with.
i think i should go buy some milk now, seeing as we don't have any and i'm 'trying' to have a healthier diet, and all the pop in here isn't really helping.
i hope this was a sufficient update to those (michelle in maine who won't even read this) who desire them.
